This is the problem I had with android.

Apple is by no means perfect.  But, they support phones (with at least security updates) for a total of around 10 years. Typically 7 years past the last time they sold the phone. During that time you can also get batteries/repairs without having to rely on some off brand Amazon/eBay/Ali express product.

I suggest replacing your iphone every 2 years. Almost every phone provider has good trade in deals and iphones have tremendous trade in value compared to android
