Quoted: This is super fucking gay that I have to say this, but should we be worried about expending our current generation air-to-air missiles on fucking balloons? I'm sure we're not cranking them out in any meaningful volume. View Quote Only the first one was a balloon. The last three have been smaller UAV-type objects, with one of them being the size of a car and one of them shaped like an octagon. Attached File |

Am I in before we figure out that Bill Gates or some other stupidly wealthy supervillian has been paying somebody to launch balloons and spread aluminum dust or some other reflective matter at high altitudes to reflect sunlight back into space to reduce global temps?

Interesting that MSN was involved in this and just last week Biden was in town. He gave a spiel at a labor union center but was in town for quite a while so he must have been involved in some other business.
Ok…tin foil is off now. |

NEACAP dropped off after going past St. Johns out into the Atlantic. There's a VIP 737 along with it. Both took off from Andrews. Off to get some tinfoil for my hat

I would never have guessed that the US military would be using fighter jets and missles for air defense of our country and we'd have a president so incompetent that he is kept out of sight during this.

It's ridiculous to demand they know the serial number, whether it has propellers or gas inside the cylinder. Also ridiculous to tell the enemy exactly what we know about the object and what sensors we used. Also, sometimes generals lie. So you got that part right. |

After the debacle of the large Chinese balloon they turned off those filters and went back and looked at the RAW data from years past and were now able to see the new smaller objects. So basically for YEARS the Chinese were able to float spy balloons in airspace and collect our data without NORAD even knowing. |

That was a bit of a flap here, but capabilities were mentioned.. 4 years later and Chinese military tech has at minimum, the same abilities of these drug interdiction balloons and more (from WiFi networks to cell phones in the RF spectrum). Which crossed the US before anything was done and were written off since "UFOs aren't real, we know everything that is up there" prior to that. Two successful "risk reduction" test flights were conducted near Baltic, about 20 miles north of Sioux Falls, on July 11 and Aug. 7. During each launch, a single "stratolight" launched from South Dakota and landed in Iowa, according to Lt. Col. Chris Mitchell, a spokesman for the U.S. Department of Defense. The stratolight flew as planned for six hours and collected high-quality imagery from an altitude of 50,000 feet. Concerns were raised last week that the balloon were carrying sensors that could detect every vehicle in motion in a 25-mile range beneath the balloon. However, Mitchell said no tracking information was collected during these flights, and none will be collected on future flights. "These tests fully comply with U.S. law, to include the law's prohibition of surveillance activities directed at U.S. citizens," Mitchell said in a statement. full Article |
