But it’s a widespread fear on both sides of the aisle. |

Why does left lose their minds when a republican takes office but not the right losing their minds when a dem takes office.

You see. FEMA Camps and Trump camps conceivably on the same level of conspiracy and hysteria. However, given the left's behavior during covid, them instituting tyrannical policies is in fact, clearly on the table. They know they would do it given the chance (because they did do it), so they assume we will. |

View Quote **sarcasam off** Covid was a real eye opener as to how much tyranny the left was willing to bust out INSANTLY the SECOND they had the chance. They assume because they would do it again in a heartbeat, that we will. They are wrong. At least in the current political climate. But we also know what is at stake IF they get the chance to do it again. ETA::Said another way. The lefties would, if they thought they could get away with it, kill or imprison their opposition (real political enemies and even just people inconveniently in their way). So they assume that this is what we want to do, and will do. Hence their fear. Also don't forget, some of the higher ups (the "inner party" or the "leftist oligarchs" or whatever you want to call them) don't actually believe in trump camps, they are simply terrified at the thought of lawfare being used against them, like it has been used against the right. "They might go after me for the corrupt things I've done, rather than turning a blind eye to it like has always happened" is not a great rallying cry for the masses. "He will put you all in camps" sounds more urgent to the common liberal "peasant". |

My own view is that left-wing positions largely come about from resentment, I agree with Nietzsche, a resentment about the surrounding social order. They have privileges, I don't. Or, I have them and I can't live up to them. Roger Scruton

Did you get thrown in a COVID camp? If yes, then you were correct and it was not a silly conspiracy. If no, then I was correct, and your fears were unfounded. Just looking back at recent history, we can easily determine the answer. Rarely do we get this benefit. |

The Left wouldn’t be worried except they realize they themselves are capable of such shenanigans. Just because they haven’t, doesn’t mean they can’t or won’t… Although I’m sure the J6 folks consider it “jail” rather than “political internment camp”… |

Anyway, abortion is a non-issue, unless you're thinking Dem presidents would give us enough Constitution hating SCOTUS justices (to the left of Ginsberg, somebody like Brown Jackson) to reenact Roe V Wade. The ACA is also a non-issue, because in 2017 the GOP proved that it's only willing to pass an ACA repeal bill for virtue signalling purposes, under a President who is guaranteed to veto it. |
