Jackie Chan put bloopers at the end of his movie because of Cannonball Run. He thought they were a fun addition to the movie. Anyone else remember Jackie in Cannonball Run?

I remember when people said Jackie Chan did his own stunts.

No shit, he was a stuntman who could barely act.

....but yes, Cannonball Run I & II.

As Sgt Collins in Fail Safe (Dr Strangelove without anything funny)

Fail-Safe (1964)
Gen. Bogan: Sergeant Collins! On the double!
[Collins races to General Bogan at the main communication board of SAC headquarters]
Gen. Bogan: You're backup man on fire control, aren't you?
TSgt. Collins: Yes sir.
Gen. Bogan: Do our Vindicator missiles have both infrared and radar-seeking capacity?
TSgt. Collins: [tentatively] Yes sir.
Gen. Bogan: [grabbing Collins forcefully toward the radio mike] Loud and clear! They've got to know we're on the level!
TSgt. Collins: [fearfully] It has both capacities, sir!
Marshall Nevsky: [Over the radio] Can the radar-seeking mechanism be overloaded by increasing the strength of the signal?
Gen. Bogan: Tell him!
TSgt. Collins: [fearfully] Yes, sir. It can be overloaded, by increasing the power output and sliding through radar frequencies as fast as possible, what happens is the firing mechanism reads the higher amperage as proximity to the target, and detonates the warhead.
Marshall Nevsky: [Over the radio] Thank you General Bogan, we will get back to you.
Gen. Bogan: [quietly] That's all, Sergeant.
[Collins slowly returns to his station within the mammoth bunker, head bowed down in shame]
Congressman Raskob: What does it mean?
Gordon Knapp: We've told them how to blow up our air-to-air missiles, and with them our planes.

He was the Jonah Hill of the 1970s, except highly likable, as opposed to Jonah, who is a fucking skid mark.

He was the gator in the animated movie All Dogs go to Heaven, which also starred Burt Reynolds as Charlie the dog.

Not really, he's had some good moments, but there were a lot of bad ones too.

I thought Burt Reynolds was funny as hell when he he was picking on Dom in all those great old movies.

Of course, Burt would be labeled a bully with Dom the poor victim, and many would protest his movies if they were made today. But they both seemed like they got the joke, and had a great time filming those movies.

Same could be said about Abbot & Costello- and they were another powerhouse comedy duo!

Yes he was funny.

He was a great second banana in movies.

He used to do a routine with Ruth Buzzi (before she became a Supreme Court justice).  Dom portrayed the world's worst magician and Buzzi was his lovely assistant, Shagundala.

I think that is how he got most of his roles, lol. He was a fun guy to be around so they would throw him a bone. He had his moments on-screen, but he wasn't consistently funny in my opinion.
