View Quote That was brilliant imho. They’re showing how overextended the Empire is, these are not elite troopers. They’re the rock-bottom dregs. Look at how the regional commander acted - they were assigned there and hated every second of it. Shooting Skeen solidified his toughness and frankly showed how much of a True Believer/idealist Andor is. Plus Skeen could have later double-crossed them all and sold them all out for a few credits. There are actually layers to this show. Give this creator/director a trilogy, between him and Filoni/Favreau, they could right this ship. |

I think that it was always Andor's intention to leave with his money after the operation was over. The kid dying and Skeen suddenly revealing his treachery just move the timeline up a few notches. Andor wasn't going to double cross them but was going to want his cut so he could get out of the spotlight. He was not in it for the rebellion at that point.
Aside from the Mandalorian's cowboy style show, Andor has shown they CAN make good Star Wars. The two girl thing was not even a blip. |

Shoot him now and avoid all that. This fits perfectly with who Andor was before. The growth is the fact that he has realized the rebellion is a good thing and he left blonde chick alive and only took his promised amount. |

Finally got to see the new episode. Holy shit this show is good!!
I called the kid and Skeen dying, but that’s not how I imagined it was going to go down. When Skeen was propositioning Cassian, I half thought he was trying to see if he could get Cassian to bite just to be like “aha! Gotcha!!”. I wasn’t expecting him to be serious about the double cross. Cassian made the right play though. Problem solved, problem staying solved. Did anyone catch what happened to Lt Gorn? I thought he got on the transport with them. I don’t recall him getting shot. I’ll have to watch it again. |

Every character of consequence seems to have access to craft with hyperdrives, but we know a lot of people still fly public bulk transport if they can afford to travel at all.
Given the proportion of EU focus on mining and materials, it seems that the tech is negligible cost, but the militarily important materials and fuel are prohibitively expensive, even for the empire. How much more should an Xwing cost over an unarmed and unarmored but still FTL capable transport? When does a designer opt for dunium vs energy shields? |

After 4 decent episodes, 5 & 6 were incredible. Phenomenal acting, writing and story. I fell in love with Scotland. The scenery was amazing. The cinematography and CGI put everything SW in the last decade to shame. I haven't felt that tension in a Star Wars show since Visions (Visions is absolutely is the best SW show).
The Skeen actor and storyline were incredible. I've been mulling over all those scenes for a week. They're just so good. There's nothing like that in the other SW shows/movies. That's movie level drama. I have been convinced and I'm excited for many more episodes. It's encouraging they wrapped up a large story line on Ep 6 and are moving to new stories. Simply great and more to come. I'm converted. Also, I have 5 Hasbro helmets and they're awesome. I've bought all of them on clearance and they're incredible value for the money. |

As soon as Skeen realizes Andor isn’t going to say yes, Skeen is going to shoot him and claim that Cassian tried to steal the shuttle. I think there was some anger on Cassian’s part as well. Inside, he’s an idealist and a rebel but hasn’t awoken to it yet or accepted it. He wants to do more and make a difference but doesn’t believe he can. He passed himself off as strictly a mercenary and now here is Skeen exposing himself as such, and treating Cassian as if Skeen accepts him as a mercenary. Cassian was repulsed by what he saw in Skeen, and what he thought Skeen saw in him. Or I’m reading too much into it, but that’s how I interpret it. |
