Cheap hotel rooms and low cost taxi fares are a big draw.
 Besides, I have seen a few photos of parts of California that looked a bit like Afghanistan with less beards. So they may have felt like they were at home, kind of.

I saw this article elsewhere and searched GD to see if it had been posted yet.
I can simply not fathom how utterly detached from reality you'd have to be to think going to AFG on a FIELD TRIP was sane or wise or within the realm of things you do with your kids. Yikes. I hope they get out. But, wow. |
