So I was sitting here surfing arfcom with my window open when I heard rattling noises in my back yard and the chinging sound from someone opening the chain link gate. MASSIVE ADRENALINE DUMP11! So I got up and turned the lights out then pulled the curtain aside and looked out into the yard and just caught a glimpse of someone booking it around my car out of the yard. I went to my closet and grabbed my mil-spec tactical aluminum baseball bat (I have no idea what kind because the finish is worn off and I've had it forever) and went to check it out. By the time I got out there the perp was long gone but my gate was wide open. I closed the gate and conducted a recon of the perimeter before retreating inside to post this. I think the initial rattling noise was from the asshole trying my garage door which faces the lane. It was locked so they opened the gate and started checking out my car which is parked in the yard at the moment because I'm working on it, probably planning to steal the stereo which has happened to me before. They wouldn't have been able to see the light on from the lane (the garage and a trailer would have blocked it) so they probably noticed it about the same time I got up to turn it off then got spooked and took off. At the time of said incident, was it clear, partly cloudy, mostly cloudy, or overcast? And secondly, are you aware that it is impossible for a canadian team to win the Stanley Cup this year? |
...but it is the first time I get to share a draw down story with arfcom. I realize this is lame due to a lack of skull bashing but It is 100% true.
