The Danish camo is pretty awesome in the green. https://www.militarysurplus.ro/eng_pl_US-Danish-Camo-BDU-STYLE-FIELD-PANTS-3326_2.jpg Finnish M05 series is great too, especially the winter. There are at least 3 types of Finnish M05, not including desert. https://i.redd.it/ruu7640hiqx11.jpg I like this one as well: http://i.imgur.com/UvZJEZ1.jpg |

Looking at Flectron, it isn't all that impressive. I have been incredibly close to some pretty knowledgable people and startled them when I moved. It seems to work across a wide vatiety of terrain.

M90 works best around here. The Finns and Norwegians also have great camo. It's always easy to spot the Yanks when they come here, they stand out like a sore thumb in the woods. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/135411/1497703515948_jpg-896533.JPG |

Multicam's king here, but German Tropentarn works fairly well, especially in the low desert. I have a few sets, boonie, and a parka. The fabric is comfortable as hell, too. Flecktarn's a bit on the dark side for most forest settings, but I'd still wear it.

Quoted: You can find it on eBay, and there’s a couple of shops in the UK that sell it - but it’s traditionally been hard to find. Denmark is now transitioning to multicam, so m84 may be on the way out. View Quote Multicam errything is kind of tiring. On the positive side maybe Varusteleka will get a shipment of M84 uniforms. And +1 for the French CCE. Blends in to my woods better than most anything else. |

Tropentarn looks like it would be good for antelope hunting in Wyoming. I need to figure out how to convert sizes so I know what to order.

Here's a good question: The eastern wastes of Indiana I've always thought hard about: We don't have a TON of standing trees, with wide spaces of farmland (mix of exposed earth, soybean/corn fields, fall time is definitely tan time, etc... What would be a good multi-season camo for places like that? The woods are easy enough (Marpat or similar) but would ACU or 'desert' camo work for farmlands in the midwest?

as an example of what i mean, here is Latvia's new 'multi-terrain' pattern. https://s14-eu5.startpage.com/cgi-bin/serveimage?url=http:%2F%2Fupload.wikimedia.org%2Fwikipedia%2Fcommons%2F6%2F66%2FA_Soldier_from_the_10th_Combat_Aviation_Brigade%252C_talks_with_Soldiers_from_the_Latvian_National_Guard.jpg&sp=517d7d5f6f739be34d5e17d4d8637bb9 I get what they're doing with the larger squares to keep the pattern effective to longer distances, but the colors will never work in a European environment View Quote Works as well as Multicam everywhere but the woods. And the only MULTILATPAT in that photo is their vests, everything else is the old issue desert camo. Plus, those are ZS guys. That’s not really the tip of the spear. |

The Latvian pattern looks cool. It does not look effective though. That said, if anyone knows where I can get some, IM me. View Quote MULTILATPAT is technically a .mil restricted pattern sewed in-house in Latvia. The old LATPAT might be easier to find, but is still halfway controlled. I’m accountable for every piece of both I have and I can’t dispose of worn out ones or just order another one. |

If anything the US proved one camo pattern does not work, a least in the hands of greedy generals. I cannot imagine how the army really thought that pattern had any real use. We used to roll around in the dirt to lighten that pattern, it worked better after collecting sweat and dirt work week.
