I've shot an MP-10 and a Colt SMG. MP-10's recoil was truly like a .22. Enjoyed it a lot

MP-5
Just wish they had included some kind of bolt hold open feature on the HK weapons, even if it was just a follower based one like the Yugoslav AK mags. |

View Quote Nice...but horrible...horrible to clean. ugh! Just suppress the MP5! lol |

If it is loaded, safety on, the first trigger pull takes it off safe and the next one starts firing. There's 1000 9mm Spectres in the US. That's all that was imported before the importer folded. |

Oh, so that was a design feature? Not sure what I think about that. I used to have an EAA Witness .45 that would do the same thing. Charge the gun, cocked and locked, pull the trigger a couple times and the safety would work it's way down until the hammer dropped. |

Mat 49/54
There's just something awesome about a gun designer who when told they need to make a variant that is capable of semi as well as full auto, just says "Ok, here you go, we added a second trigger, pull that one and it only shoots semi, the other one is for full auto." |

I've only shot an MP40 and an MP5N.
The MP40 was fun, but was too heavy and big for what it was, the sights sucked, mags were a pain to load, and the stock was hopelessly floppy. Also, the rear sight on the one I shot would flip to the 200 meter setting in the middle of a burst. Which promptly resulted in me shooting the indoor range's target holder The MP5N on the other hand was awesome, it was very accurate and controllable with great sights and a good trigger. M1/M1A1 Thompson, full size Uzi, and an MP7A1 are on the to-shoot list. |

I've never shot a subgun so I can't comment on my favorite but this thread is sure making me drool. I have a few if you ever head my way, or there's a C3 dealer with a badass collection in Bennet. What, what? I am kind of far away from Liechtenstein. I didn't realize there's a C3 dealer in Bennet. |

If they were still imported for the "civilian" market and not subject to Hughes Amendment market prices, I'd like to have an MP5SD just as a toy. But in general, I'll go with this: Quoted:
None.... M4 for the win If I'm going to bother with a shoulder weapon, it's not going to shoot pistol rounds. H&K makes a 5.56 version as well. http://ultimatefirearmtechnologies.com/images/guns/HK-53-large.png http://firearmdeals.com/Dons/HK53_031207_001.jpg HK51K http://i37.tinypic.com/33av2wp.jpg flame throwers do not count |

Always enjoyed the Thompson the Best.
(Nice to have a Friend who is a Class III Dealer) ETA-Seemed like the Thompson aimed itself. |

I'd sacrifice a nut for a Ruger MP9. http://i.imgur.com/FIQqMlk.jpg http://i.imgur.com/NmeiZR5.jpg View Quote It looks like a Mini Uzi made sweet love to a MAC 11. I bet it would cost a left nut to own one. |

As a southpaw, I have different views on SMG's. The Sten spits too much, and is uncomfortable to shoot. The uzi tends to stop too much. MAC 10 is awesome to shoot, but accuracy drops off too soon. Shooting the M3 greasegun is like listening to a lecture from your grandma, slow and unexciting. MP5 is an inacurate buzzsaw. Thompson is sweet, but way too heavy for what it can do. My favorite SMG is the Carl Gustaf Swedish K SMG. Perfect rate of fire, nice sights, reloads are quick and easy. It will eat any garbage ammo you have, and never hiccup. Never shot a PPSH 41, yet, but watching the videos I think it spits too much too. YMMV.

Carl Gustav or Port Said. Beretta MP 38......kinda esoteric, both great guns.

MP5SD, probably.
Fired plenty of suppressed firearms; if that thing is as quiet as they say, it's a hell of an achievement. |
