T-Shirt fundraiser is now live!
https://www.customink.com/fundraising/phs-panther-art-2023-smokejumper-slurry-bomber-project-fundraiser-0156 We had to limit the options to 6 only, so the white hoody is gone, as well as the yellow T-shirt, as those were the least picked by students as well as arfcomers in the poll. There are no youth sizes, or extra-smalls available. This has screwed up our designs in the past, and I'd like to avoid that this year. On the hoodies, order a size up, as they say they run small! I've got it set to run for 2 weeks. Donation only is available if you don't want a shirt or hoodie. I very much appreciate all the support with our Tshirt drives the last few years. They have been exceptionally successful. We have a goal of 150 shirts sold. We are making about $6 per shirt sold if we sell 150. That would help us raise approximately $1000. Shirts should ship out around the 23rd of March. |

Got mine! I think it might have been the first.
Too bad about the yellow, but I got a green one, and a little extra. |

Here's a link w/o guns' login credentials so you won't accidentally change the prices.

You know, I occasionally go back and look at the previous years of these threads, and all of the pics... One question though, how do you dust all of the displays and how often? Seems like they would get pretty dusty.

Fantastic 1st day Thank you every one who contributed so far.
We have 20 shirts sold and $420 raised so far. Custom ink needs us to change out the tower in our design, as we don't have permission to use it for a fundraiser. The kids grabbed it on line, thinking the clip art would be fine. It's not. I've got the Graphics dept working on coming up with a better version. There will be more details, closer to Sheep Mountain Look out tower, and our own build. |

Well, school is closed today. Road closures for the state are pretty crazy, although they are open in the Big Horn Basin. Temp is -5, 30mph winds, and snowing.

View Quote Near the end of the year, I go out with a dust mop and get up in the lift and hit things. We also have the air compressor to help in areas that need it. The custodial staff is also awesome and helps in the summer to wipe off what they can get to with the lift and ladders. |

50 sold and $830 raised!!!!!
Once I out in the kids and staff orders we should hit the 100 mark. At 150, our profit for each sold goes up. https://www.customink.com/fundraising/phs-panther-art-2023-smokejumper-slurry-bomber-project-fundraiser-0156 |

When I was growing up, C-130s didn't have those, their krewes died like men. Now it's all Star Wars and stuff. It answers a very real problem - modern MANPADs and IR/UV guided AAMs are extremely difficult to break lock on, and Bruce Willis notwithstanding, C-130s don't have ejection seats. Lase the seeker head through its own lens and now yer flares have a much better chance of leading the missile astray. |

55 sold as of tonight and $900 raised. I saw a good bunch of shirts sold to locals today after I posted the link on Facebook. Several former students, parents and a faculty member all supported the effort.
That was really nice to see. |

Ordered a green hoodie this time. I will only be able to wear it 4 months out of the year, so it will last forever!

Lase the seeker head through its own lens and now yer flares have a much better chance of leading the missile astray. I thought that was wing mount? I don't see it in this photo, maybe not installed yet? Search for C-130 laser is an article about AHEL which is a high power laser for directed energy attack to be added to AC-130J gunship line of aircraft. I have no idea but couldn't find any other "in body" laser pods. Could it be cameras to identify drop success or something? I wouldn't think just a thermal/visual camera would need that large of house, though. On further search, it seems to be fitted to dedicated C-130s set up for firefighting. Looks like a GIANT camera lens in this photo at the bottom of pod. This one is WY National Guard and still looks like a lens at the end of it with a pretty big gimbal ability. I'm guessing thermal since it seems to be on firefighting C-130 but not on others I'm coming up with, or maybe it's something on the newer ones? With a 'lens cap' on in this photo: |

Could be added as "Easter Eggs" now that all the exhibits are getting tablets to do a slideshow on construction of each project and builders and detailed info of the scope and reason for them. Make a little π symbol at the corner which they can tap to take them to the Easter Eggs (or am I the only one that remembers "The Net" movie, IIRC?). |
