Always been a fan of the Halloween movies. Older sisters got me into them when we was kids. Some of the later ones were terrible. Rob Zombie’s remake of the original was fantastic.

Am interested in how this one turns out.

Part 6, The Curse of Michael Myers is my favorite of the original series. It's the most violent of the non-Zombie movies, and I enjoy the Thorn lore. Zombie's first Halloween movie was excellent, also. I walked out of the second Zombie Halloween in the theater. One of the worst movies I've ever seen.

Rarely go to movies but planning to go this weekend. Looks fun. Wife is on the fence but likes the original.

I’ll definitely be seeing it.

I like these types of movies so much more than paranormal ones. I can’t shoot a ghost, but I can put 5 rounds of 5.56 Gold Dot goodness center mass in Michael in short order.

If he needs more, I’ve got another 25 on tap.

Sounds like you never actually watched any of the movies in this series. You might as well be shooting at a ghost. Just like the "Jason" character of the Friday the 13th series, Myers is a supernatural character and is indestructable. Your 5.56 Gold Dots would only piss him off, just before he grabs your puny AR15, cracks the plastic handguards, bends the barrel in a U shape, then twists your head off of your torso. You'd be better off saving the other 25rds for yourself.

Possible minor spoilers....

Just saw it.  I liked it a lot.  Best movie since the original, imo.

There is a single take continuous shot that pays homage to the original opening scene single take sequence.  Very well done.

And Laurie has gone full GD Basement mode.

And to the dipshit media that I kept reading reviews about automatic weapons.  Please, for the love of God educate yourselves.  I was expecting an AR or something and that's where the 'automatic weapons' comments were coming from.  She uses a wheel gun, a pump shotgun and a f'n lever gun.  About the furthest things from 'automatic weapons'.  Im guess flint locks are also 'automatic weapons' in the media's eyes.

What is "full GD Basement mode"?  I saw an interview with her and she really seems to like the Winchester.

Of all the rifles to choose from she picks a lever action.

Halloween - Official Trailer (HD)

I have a .450 Marlin but there's better choices out there in semi auto

It was... okay.

A noble effort, and the best of the sequels, but a bit of a missed opportunity, IMO.

Weak writing being its biggest flaw.

It was awesome. Exactly what it should have been. Lots of Easter Eggs.

9/10, would recommend.

You missed it because it wasn't there. My biggest question was what happened to Josh Hartnett's character, and why he wasn't in the movie, if we're including Laurie Strode's children.

I think that is because this is actually suppose to be a different version of Halloween II. All the other sequels and story lines don't exist.

It was good but could have been better. I liked it better than everything after the original part 2 though.

Why is he wearing a Captain Kirk mask? Was he driven insane by Star Trek reruns?

He doesn't exist. Halloween (2018) is a direct sequel to Halloween (1978). None of the other films exist in this timeline and Michael isn't Laurie's brother.

They didn't add the whole Michael is her sister storyline until 1981's part 2.

Overall pretty good flick. The body count was pretty high. The best killing scene for me for some reason was him banging the guys head against the wall constantly in the service station bathroom. Dunno why, just had that maniac feel to it

I think Dick Warlock (who went on to be Kurt Russell's stunt double) did a better job of playing Michael in part 2.

I just found out today that Dick Warlock also played the pit boss in Casino that zapped the cheater with the cattle prod.

Absolutely the most horrendous Halloween movie of them all.

1.0 out of 5.0

Just atrocious.

They barely even used the iconic Halloween theme sound.

Did I say atrocious, horrendous and dismal?

Acting was a mere .25 of 5.0 at best.

My twin 9 year old boys and their football squad weren't even frightened.

TERRIBLE !!!!!
