It really wasn't well known until about 10 years ago. A fighter pilot named batch had them and stumbled upon it after getting a bad sunburn and his clusters went away. He put two and two together and figured it out.

And while yes, it can f your world up, it is actually difficult to take too much. I did a lot of research try to figure out just how far I could push it. I wouldn't recommend my current dosage to anyone but I don't think most people are taking enough. Unless you are out in the sun all the time I have no problem recommending 10k a day.

My favorite story is about post war east Germany and there problem with rickets. They solved it by injecting toddlers with 250k of the d with no reported side effects.

Interesting and thanks, again. Sincerely, good luck with yours. I would not wish those on anyone (ok, other than certain politicians, maybe)

When China virus hit I started making sure I didn’t wear a shirt much when working outside.

Then these COVID care doctors basically said people that have good vitamin D (levels over 50) don’t  have a problems with COVID.  And people with levels under 20 have a very rough go of it.

So now, in the winter I take 5,000-10,000 a day.  I don’t know if it is a factor, but I don’t really limit my activities and haven’t had COVID or symptoms.

Almost everyone that says they get it from their food believes they have enough

Listen, unless your working on farm all day and eating everything you produce, not just vegetables but animals and eggs, your almost certainly not getting enough as you should

My mother constantly says this while I take D3 supplements, while she eats absolute processed garbage food and sits inside all day

I can't fuckin stand that line of thinking these days because unless you've got paperwork in hand your really doing yourself a dis-service

If you haven't had your levels checked there's a better chance than not you'd be deficient like most Americans. This includes farmers, roofers, and others who spend much of their day outside.

Typically there's 700iu in my multi I take in the morning and I pop a 1000iu gummy in the evening. I've been trying to eat a healthier diet as well but during the winter months I see very little sunlight during the workweek so I figure a little D booster can't hurt

Yeah vitamin D isn't somthing you get from a balance diet

For example 3oz of Yellowfin tuna gives you 70iu of Vitamin D, which is nothing, youll get around 400iu from 3oz of sockeye salmon

Beef liver is only 42iu per 3 oz

cheese is 7iu per ounce

44iu in one egg

So, the highest food in Vitamin d is going to be farm raised atlantic salmon which is going to be 526iu for 3.5 oz, you would need like 15 oz of salmon a day just to hit 4000iu of Vit D

Ive just started a verapamil script and am hoping for the best. Oxygen has been a godsend for stopping most of them.

One reason I keep Facebook around is the support groups for people like us. Starting a cycle after getting the covid vax seems like a pretty common occurrence.

Good luck with it - the Verapamil did seem to help with intensity but still damn terrible. Oxygen really didn’t help mine much. The Relpax was a Godsend to stop one - usually completely gone within 15-30 minutes. Powerful stuff though, not good to overdo it. Sumitriptan also worked but not a well as Relpax for me.

I had seen a Neurologist who did nothing then found a doc that specialized in headaches. Did some brain scans and tests but found nothing really strange. She put me on the Vitamin D. Most disappointing thing in the whole ordeal was when I asked these docs what caused them I got a shrug and “we don’t know” reply.

I’ve been taking 6k a day for years. I’m over 50, have BP and diabetes problems and just got Covid for the first time. It was less severe than my spring allergies and my only vax was J&J nearly a year ago. Anecdotal but I like to think it helped.

Anyone that is taking Vitamin D3, please read up on hypercalcemia
and also consider taking Vitamin K2.  Vitamin D3 may contribute to calcium clogging your arteries.  K2 supposedly counteracts this.

Generally take around 250% of of daily recommendations.  Had to have 1/2 my thyroid removed 3-4 years ago.  Had some super fu&kiQng severe depression afterwards for about 5-6 months. Started taking 3x the RDA (recommended daily allowance) and in about 2-3 weeks started feeling better.
Vitamin D has a half life of about 3 weeks for most people.  If you have any thyroid problems your body is probably not taking in enough or not utilizing what is there properly.  Lot of European countries recommend taking 2000-3000 IU daily especially during the months with less sunlight and decreased outdoor activity.  I think it was Germany that said people could take up to 4000-5000 IU a day and not worry about taking to much.
To much Vit D can make you nauseated, I do remember reading that side effect.

About 5K a day. With dinner I take two 1000K D3 pills along with a multivitamin, a Zinc/Magnesium combo, and an EmergenC powder in my orange water. All of them have D3 in them. I throw in a fish oil and a Vit B pill a few times a week as well. No idea if these are the best combos, but it was what I had plenty of and just got in the habit of taking. I also started smoking again as nicotine is shown to block receptors to the bug we shall not name.
