308 is obsolete and a waste of a modern rifle.

Might as well go back to -06 and the most gloriously obsolete Garand.

The Ruger 308 seems a popular and affordable choice in a semi-auto.

It ain't inexpensive any more, but it sure does beat a 30-30. I wish i bought the "Hornady 7.62x39mm 123 Grain SST Steel Case 2350fps 50/bx #8078" back in the day for $30...

I did not realize the SCAR was that expensive. I guess AR10 is the way to go.
