A real blot on a place with some of the finest art and architecture in the world.

View Quote The aduditorium doesnt look like that. That is a very distorted picture. I am and have always been Jewish....so I am not a defender of anything Catholic. Just pointing out a reality. |

I’m not really into art but I do understand that art is supposed to give you an emotional response.
That sculpture gives me one of dread and revulsion. I wouldn’t know it is supposed to represent Christ’s resurrection without being told. The artwork in the Sistine Chapel, on the other hand, gives me a warm, hopeful feeling. I can look at it and see parts of scripture played out by the artist’s hands without being told what it is supposed to be. |

Quoted: Well, I mean Jesus did descend into hell and on the 3rd day he came back. There's even an argument to be made there's a chance of redemption for those in hell as well. I've always had questions about that in the Apostles' Creed. View Quote Well, He wasn’t on earth or yet in Heaven. Depending on whether you believe in it or not, He could not be in Purgatory. Only Hell remains. The point of being in Hell was that it had no power over Him and He could leave. |
