I wish I had a larger tool box, but alas, all I have is a typical Sears Craftsman basic garage tool box and a 3HP garage air compressor.

Compare them to snap on slides..should be the same now days..maybe I'll slides off one of your drawers and move to the drawer you want to double up on and then do snap on slides on the one you robbed from... When I was still working on cars for a living, I could do most of what I needed to do out of my service cart. I didn't really have to go to my big toolbox unless I need something special. Forgive the quality of the photo, it's about four or five years old.

I had one of those four drawer Matco carts and I really liked it. I liked most that the lid flipped all the way over and out of the way, unlike the Snap-on where it's hinged externally and has to stay upright. Makes it easier to get a hold of whatever's in the top of the cart from either side. I don't have any good pictures of it though, only a partial from my old setup.  |

I was using a Craftsman three-box stack that wasn't big enough. Bought the HF roller the OP got, now I need more tools. That HF box is a really nice unit for amazingly little money. |

I have the bastard setup. 4c piece rollaround Snap-on chest, accompanied by various Kobalt, Craftsman, and HF shit. The Kobalt stuff is pretty nice. Excellent drawer glides, but absolute garbage locking system.

My dealer had a tough time finding the code for the color, but he was able to track it down. Supposedly they're still making a limited run on the color once a quarter. |

Which one? I have everything from 11 drawer Kennedys to 13 drawer Gerstners clad in pleather, to 44" HF's that hold hundreds of pounds of tools. Every area, every machine, has its own tool boxes, be it tools for car work, basic wrenches, mill or lathe tool holding, to precision measurement boxes. If I cataloged every box in my shop I'd say I have over 20. Then I'd get into the 'what constitutes a tool box?', file cabinets that hold large mill tooling, 'parts boxes' that hold sub-1/4" end mills and lathe bits, the box of basic auto tools behind the seat of my truck. Broad subject. Organization is never complete.

I have two big stand up rolling boxes. Top section in the left box is metric sockets and wrenches, right box standard sockets and wrenches then both lowers are general tools. air tools in the left box hand tools in the right

One of the boxes at home and a roll around in the corner. Have an identical blue Macsimizer bottom at work. Big green rig was a CL find from a retired tech. Had to send a wrecker 100 miles to Houston to get it for me. $3500.00 was a bargain even if is was 11 years old. Probably $18,000.00 off the truck new today.
Took it completely apart and cleaned it inside and out before putting it in the shop. Cleaned up pretty nice and had the 2 inch maple top planed and refinished to remove all the stains and beat marks.

I have a Kennedy roll cab and chest, a Kennedy cantilever, a Kennedy fold top box, a small plastic Craftsman for my welding gear, a rolling Craftsman tub style for my carpentry stuff, and a Herman Miller storage cart (2'x2'x6' tall, slide out shelves and roll top/bottom doors) and a couple other small plastic boxes for bicycle tools and such.

Can't take a picture of the toolbox, my name is on it. But, I found these bullshit sockets. I say they're bullshit cause the 1/2 socket is wayyyy bigger than a 1/2 in and they're stamped BS. I think I got ripped off. Hell the 1/2 is bigger than the scope tube.

I have 4 craftsman standard bottom boxes and one craftsman top box ( standard ) . One of my craftsman boxes holds all my Machinist tools and sports a Kennedy top box with machinist tools. I have mostly snap on tools.A small mix of craftsman brand .

I learned early on in bike shops that there were BS standard and Whitworth standard tools along with a few other even more obscure relics......and that metric stuff rules the known universe. |

I've got the 44" top, bottom and two hang on side cabinets. This is about my only originization shot.
Mix of Snap On combination on one side and Gear Wrench flex head on the other. One drawer is SAE, the other is metric. Bottom drawer of top box is air tool storage. Top drawer of bottom box is slam full of sockets. Mix of SO, Craftsman and HF. But 3/8 & 1/2, shallow, deep, impact and standard, SAE and metric. All my extensions are in here too. Ratchets are in a side box drawer. |

As somewhat of a working owner I'm doing oddball little jobs all week long so the guys in the shop don't get taken off the important stuff. Back and forth all over the shop from one end to the other with a hand full of tools. Then I have to go answer a phone, check in parts, help figure out what's missing from the exploded front end, help match the paint, help the wrecker driver drop a car, run off a salesman, fix the pressure washer, cuss a telemarketer.....so everything just gets tossed in here until I get a chance to sort it all out and start the process over.
It's Monday morning though so time to sort it out before all hell breaks loose.
