I don't know why anytime somebody makes a threaded lever gun they have to make it look like something Cheaper than Dirt shit out. If this gun, or probably any lever gun, came with a nice blue finish and decent wood to go with the threaded barrel I would get in line

I picked up my Ruglin 1894 in .44mag last week. Really nice rifle. My most fuddish gun. The Black Walnut is excellent. Ruger has a good thing going here with the Marlin line.

I like black/polymer guns, too, but I don't see the interest in this. A lever action should be walnut and blued steel. Bring on the "boomer" rants & hateposts. |

I like them in a weird way. I get the appeal and while I don’t think I have need of sending 45/70 here in the south East, I do like the option.
My wife’s HD choice is a 357 lever. She’s not gun savvy and not interested in training. She wielded it well in our neighborhood shooting adventure and while it’s not as whiz bang tactical as my load out, an 11 round 357 throwing hate almost as hard as 30/30 is good back up. I loaded the tube so all she has to do is run it like a red Ryder, just louder. Any idea if a Griffin Revolution 45 is rated for small doses of 45/70?  Attached File |

I also have a 3 lug mount for it, but it's recommended the .357 be used with the threaded adapter. |

Yea some people like large loops and some don’t. They are easy enough to change out. If you want more traditional they have stainless and blued rifles as well in the $500 range. Hell.. you could find a used 336 marlin 30-30 on any guns store rack and on classifieds for $2-300 for several decades…. Up until the popularity of lever guns went crazy about 4-5+- years ago. |
