edit: okay it's actually two snow shovels, one plastic scoopy shovel for the fluffy stuff and one flatter metal shovel for scraping.

I used this most of the time.  Awesome little blade for moving snow quickly.

This is my big storm rig for out little urban plot.

If you don't mind me asking. How do you like the snow thrower attachment for the huskvarna lawn tractor? I want one but it gets mixed reviews.

Yep. If one has steps all that fancy shit is useless. Neighbor overwinters his boat in the next door neighbor's yard plows the shared driveway.

That’s basically my set up.

It’s the best noncomercial set up out there, imo.

started hiring a plow guy 10 years ago, the amount I've spent so far would buy about 1.5 good snowblowers but the hassle I've saved is priceless.

Overkill for most storms, but I can knock out my driveway in about 20 minutes.

I shovel my front porch and the walkway to the street, clear my car off and that's it. I also don't rake my leaves.

Growing up we shoveled and used a plow on the riding mower. After my brother died my dad rebuilt his Bronco and used a full-size plow on that.

I'd really like to get an ATV, I could plow with it and I think I can drive it on the street (golf carts can be registered for street use here, not sure how far that extends).

Im just using a bucket for our place but thought about getting a blower for it when I retire in a few years and checking with the neighbors to see if they would pay enough to make it worth my while.

You'll break your neck.

No pictures as it is in the shop. Recently picked up a inverted snow blower. The up is it will save my neck and I get to keep the loader on for other winter chores.

Not a big one, but perfect when you live on the side of a mountain and have a 30% grade to plow.

Is there a state that has great year round weather without Blizzards, tornadoes, sub zero weather, earthquakes, floods  or hurricanes? Something???? Not heat in the 100’s or cold in the single digits??

Just the bucket

That picture is from a spring storm a couple of years ago, 24" of wet heavy stuff. We usually don't get that stuff out here, dry with concrete like drifts is more common so it's not too bad with just the bucket but my driveway is about 1/2 mile long. If you leave a windrow they tend to fill up with drifts so a snow blower would be nice to throw the snow well away from the right of way.

ETA: When I live in Michigan I had a 95 F-250 with a Fisher plow, but we regularly got over 200" of snow there, in the high desert we don't see near that much.

Ooof, do you have to plow all that with just the bucket?

Yeah, you REALLY want a tractor mount blower to clear that much area.

Clearing.my driveway with the 24.5 horse Yanmar before I got the 54 inch blower was about a 2 hour job for light snow and 3 hours for heavy snow.   That was using the bucket up front and the snow blade on the 3 point.   And as the winter progressed, it got to be a challenge figuring out where to shove snow, as the banks would get higher than the bucket could lift.

Bought a 54 inch 3 point blower about 3 years ago.   Now, it's about a 30 to 45 min job to clean way more area than I did before, do a better job cleaning it, and I dont get snow banks any deeper than the general snow depth.     If I was just clearing what I used to clear with the bucket/blade setup, I could probably do that in about 15 or 20 mins.
