The 140mm Leclerc needs a bigger turret. It's not quite larger than the hull yet.

Next Generation Hand Grenade ( Product of Swedish innovation ) Spränghandgranat 07. It has two modes, it can be used as a regular grenade or it can be used in air-burst mode. In the latter, the grenade rights itself and the main body is launched upwards. Upon detonation it focuses the 1900 fragments downward. This reduces the risk for the user and it helps reach people behind cover. |

I am no way an armor guy. It is amazing how much the armor seems to be mix and match. By that I mean all of the deferent turrets on deferent chassis or hulls.

They don’t want a China Southern Airbus to not know where one is or a snooping RC-135 to find out too much about its RCS. |

That pic of the USS King brought me way back to my time serving aboard the USS Truxtun CGN35 (formerly DDG41) as they are somewhat similar. |

Steamed with her countless times in the NAS. I also remember that we almost traded paint with her (or worse) when she lost steering as we followed her through the Suez. That was a real squeaker! The USN or MSC bought 3 unrep ships from the Brits in the mid 80s, which helped us achieve 10 AFS ships. 5 on each coast. IIRC, we paid ~$30M apiece, and spent similar bringing them up to our specs. A new AFS would have cost ~$300M apiece to build. I caught up with Saturn when she was in drydock in Mobile in early '86. She was going through the conversion. She got a computer suite (my job), an improved helo deck, and hangers as well as a larger signal bridge. I did a 3 month Med Cruise Sirius too. Both were great ships. Some really good times.
