Clouds are water vapor, usually.
But winds are the effect of heated and cooled air masses. Mars (last I knew) does not have enough free water to allow clouds to form, but does have enough atmosphere to generate sandstorms. Iirc, it was during one of these storms that Mr Watley had his troubles. But I don't know how far off you can see these sandstorms. Or if they dissipate like "habobs". So I'm guessing you could have an occluded horizon due to a distant sandstorm, but not a cloudy one due to water vapor. But can your audience tell the difference? Science, rescue us! |

I used them on rifles and shotguns all the time to make grass and leaves, so don't be afraid to experiment! So tell me/us just who Marvin is sighting on to blast away? I would think you would have his rocket aimed at Earth, the clock. Also, he’s a fictional cartoon character and I personally don’t like his evil eyes expression. Maybe y’all could “Soften” it up into a “What, where’s the big kaboom”. Just my .002. |

View Quote Marvin isn't really "sighting in", he's riding his rocket down to Earth, spying on it, as we do Mars. "Earth" is more than just the clock on the wall. The futuristic tractor will be on Earth too. As are the shelves right below him. We are also hoping to create a field of FFA trophies under the shelves. I'm hoping some pick up on the Dr. Strangelove reference with his pose, but also tie him to our Wyoming bucking horse logo, when we give him his cowboy hat. Marvin's rocket may look like a bomb to some, but it also shows how we've come full circle to our rocket designs, with SpaceX and it taking off and landing like the old cartoons. Is Marvin angry/intense? I suppose, but that fits his original interaction with Bugs, and Earth interfering with his view of Venus. |

I'd add another skim of mud/putty, sand, then after a day of cure re-check with primer, but I'm a perfectionist (that doesn't have to actually do anything in this particular instance). Some of those may be so shallow that you could get away with sanding it smooth, using the paint itself as filler, and going from there. A primer is supposed to have enough body for that to remove 600 grit sanding marks (filler primers can do more, but isn't really available in rattle cans). --ETA: After looking at full resolution... |
