My wife doesn't think she needs one. I have wanted an air fryer for a long time, but primarily to do chicken wings and fries/mozz sticks etc.
What else are these things good for. Do you guys really use these on a semi-often basis? |

When I make beef stew, this lets me sear/sauté the meat and veggies, then pressure cook the whole thing, then hit the sear/sauté (which is your also your generic "cook something that mostly liquid" setting) again to reduce the gravy.....all in one go, no changing pots. |

Just ordered one at $99.
Gonna try to replace a huge ass PowerXL air fryer, an Instant Pot and an old old crock pot. How well do these things work as a slow cooker? It'll be interesting to see how a Mississippi pot roast comes out not using the crock pot. |

Got mine yesterday and i made chicken breasts in it tonight. This thing is awesome and there are tons of recipes on the internet that you can use. Thanks again for the heads up OP.

Check your local Kohl's dept store if you have one nearby. They are on sale for 40% off if you pay with a Kohl's charge. That brought it to $119. Then I got 20% off my entire purchase for opening the credit card account which brought it to $95. Then I went to customer service and paid the card balance in cash. I saved several hundred dollars off my total order this way.

Purchased one from the Walmart link given here and it just arrived.....they sent the wrong one. Now gotta return it and wait for the correct one to get here.

So far I've done chicken breasts, wings, wontons, and French fries in mine. Solid work posting the deal OP.

View Quote Yeah I also got the wrong model, mine is the OS405 (at least the sticker on the back of the units states that) rather than the OS401, it only has 10 cooking modes missing the reheat and sous vide modes of the OS401. The control panel is slightly different since those two options don't exist on the OS405. The bad thing is the OS405 has two small stickers on the manufacturer's box stating it's the OS401 model, I informed Walmart CS of this when I scheduled my replacement and return. Let's see if I get another OS405 in the same kind of box or if I really get an OS401 as replacement. |

Try the Mac and Cheese recipe that's in the supplied book, it's outstanding.
The downside of it that is you wind up with about 5lbs of Mac & cheese goodness, not ideal if there are only 2 people in the abode eating it. |

I airfried a turkey breast with mine last night. It was awesome. crispy skin and very moist meat. 3 pound boneless breast was complete in 50 minutes. It’s the 5th or 6th meal I’ve made with it. This thing is awesome.

Ordered one, cooked a turkey breast with it. Came out perfect, pressure cooked then crisped.

Mine was supposed to arrive Sunday but got delayed and it’s finally out for delivery today. I have a rack of ribs waiting in the fridge and can’t wait to try it out!
Fingers crossed they sent the right unit |

When air frying, do they make a greasy mess inside and do they smoke up your kitchen?
Are they hard to keep clean? |

Quoted: When air frying, do they make a greasy mess inside and do they smoke up your kitchen? Are they hard to keep clean? View Quote No smoke but you do smell the food cooking, not near as much as an open skillet though. Clean-up is easy, non-stick pot and cooking racks. Anything that sticks comes off by soaking in soap and water or in a dishwasher. Do not use abrasive cleaning stuff of any kind. |
|
Put a big roast in it, put on the pressure cooker lid, some Lawry's season salt, pepper, and a bit of Soy Sauce. I think mine takes 1.5 hours for a biggun
Make sure you lock your lid properly |

They asked if I wanted to have it replaced or return it for a refund and then repurchase it (with him discounting any price increase if the sale price wasn’t available). I guess I chose replacement and the shipping status says “pending receipt of the first unit”… so choose the other way if you can. To save you a few minutes looking for it the customer service number is (800) 925-6278. Fingers crossed we get the correct one the second time around |

Online or phone? View Quote Open the box and check the back of the actual unit, it'll be model number OS405 for the 10-in-1 unit. The actual OS401 model is the 12-in-1 unit. The box I received had two small stickers marked OS401 with UPC 6-22356-57628-4. I didn't peel off those stickers to see if a different model number was under them. I think Ninja is pulling a fast one on Walmart here since the boxes have stickers showing OS401 for the 10-in-1 unit. Ninja is probably trying to get rid of old "New" stock and Walmart is left holding the bag since their website shows a 12-in-1 unit for model OS401. Who knows for sure. |

I actually mentioned to the Customer Service woman I spoke with today that I was aware other people were having the same issue of having the wrong item shipped, and she said that they were aware and working on getting everything squared away. Whether that’s true or not who knows

reading about this on slick deals
https://slickdeals.net/f/15494218-ninja-foodi-12-in-1-8-quart-xl-pressure-cooker-air-fryer-multicooker-os401-99-at-walmart there does seem to be problems with the outside boxes and the contents the os401 has a sous vide and reheat function, that isn't in the os405 model. there is very little on the internet on using the sous vide function, and the feel that said anything said the temperature control was off temperature calibration wise, and lack of circulation made it less usefull. the use of a reheat function wasn't seen anywhere except ads the os401 only comes with a rack the os405 comes with a fryer basket and other racks and was deemed more useful I'd say if you are receiving a os405, you may not be losing much and gaining extra accessories also, it appears that some of the os401 boxes are marked 10 in 1, but the inner retail box is a 12 in 1 os401 |

Ordered the 12 in 1 received the 10 in1. Called Walmart they sent a prepaid label via fedex to send back the 10 in 1 and resend the originally ordered 12 in 1.
New one arrived, it’s the 10 in 1 again. Called Walmart again, this time asked for an additional discount to keep the 10 in 1. They offered an $19.80 discount back to my card and a $15 Walmart digital card. I accepted. Good deal. |
