That will be the last one, hours from now probably.

I'm thinking the start errors may be fines and penalty points, starting to think it won't effect results since it was more procedural.

I'm wondering what's going to happen with Mercedes and tire pressures.

Extremely lucky - you stating that over and over again is what’s marginalizing his win today. 17 to 1 isn’t all luck.

It's just Shung being Shung.

He obviously knows more about racing than the folks that have actually raced at a high level, or compete against Max and say that he has immense talent and skill.

When you say “17 to 1” are you talking about the starting positions or the fastest lap counts?

Fastest lap doesn’t count, it was on a drying track…

Starting positions.

Yes, but he still did the lap and was not given permission by the stewards.   It was an aborted start.   Period.   To his credit, he just took 30 seconds longer.

It will be interesting to see how they ultimately handle this, though it looks like the Driver Championship is locked up at this point.

Now it's just the principal of the thing.

Master class by Mad Max! Well done, very well! Fucking balls outs drive from 17th!

Kudos to Alpine and the Jr. Bulls as well.

I love the wet races, shows who has the skills same as Schumacher, Hamilton , and Senna.

Great to see Rubino with the 🎤

Yet somehow Yuki who was right behind Lando didn’t have that “rubber problem”.  I went back and watched the in car, Lando bogged down the moment he let the clutch out. RUS was pulling him before either shifted from 2nd to 3rd.

Lando botched the start, he talked his team into an ill timed pit stop, botched the restart, and for that he earned his 6th place result.

No doubt Max and the Alpines got lucky with the red flag but he was already having an incredible race.

Why would anyone think that a guy that started 17th and finished first, had 17 fastest laps, and beat the field by 20 seconds over a span of around 30 laps was good?

I don’t remember the tunnel, but I do remember him parking it at Rascasse.

So, nothing yet on the start investigations?   Or the Merc messing with the tire pressures?  Almost 5 hours after the end of the race, and they still haven’t figured it out?  The tire pressures thing should be an easy determination.  FIA clown show.

Max’s drive was reminiscent of Senna today.

He didn’t just want to win. He wanted to make a statement to the other drivers, fans, and press.

Honestly, I thought he was pushing too much at the end and could have played it safe. He had other ideas and made everyone recognize he is the class of the field whether you like him or not.

I think Lawson is a no brainer. It was funny to see how differently he treated the two Redbull’s on track today. “Go ahead Max, hope we get to work together soon, good luck” vs “you’re in my seat bitch!  Look Christian, look Helmut, im ready!”

One of the great races I've seen from Max.  Reminds me of some of the great efforts by Schumacher, Senna, Vettel and Hamilton from years past.  Hannah Schmitz deserves a gold medal as well.  Brilliant.  As usual.

What an entertaining race, in a very entertaining season!
