my guess is that by the time Mercedes rolled out their side pod car last year is about the time Newey said to himself "wait, why are we letting the inlet dictate the sidepod design? Imma design the sidepod with no inlet" |

They spent a bunch of time and resources on R&D of the cooling system over the last 16 months as wind tunnel time is not restricted. The aerodynamic testing restrictions exempt “windtunnel testing solely for the development of power unit heat exchangers that reject heat to air”, which means you can do work with the internal flow of these ducts. What is going on with that leading Porsche...?
3 to 4 seconds faster (per lap) in the rain...? Wow... Never seen this course before...but it is one I would really like to drive (but not at 60 Kph)... ETA...never knew that there was an Isle of Man course in Australia...
