Flipped over after the IndyCar race to watch the end. I don't get the anger at Hamlin. Drivers have been wrecking and intentionally moving others out of the way to win forever. Not a peep out of fans. Hamlin took away the inside, ran up high, but didn't hit Kyle and left him plenty of space to the wall. Fans and announcers pissed. What did I miss? There was more egregious pushing people off track in the F1 race today than that move.

Yea, fill me in too. I don't spend money on cable, not a rabbit ear race in sight for weeks, and found a free stream only for the last few laps.

Is Denny Hamlin the new "face" of NASCAR, the new Golden Child?  Are they going back to the Bad Boy image like they portrayed with Dale Sr?
Jeff Gordon didn't get salty enough until his last few years of racing.  Dale Jr. and JJ were either too timid or too much of a corporate shill to be marketable in that way.
Chase is too "awe-shucks" like his Daddy was to fill that role.
The only SNAFU in this is he is in the last year of his contract and Coach Gibbs is making the same noise he was this time last year when he lost Kyle B.
If not Denny, will they try this with Ross Chastain or does he have more to prove yet?
A dark horse is William Byron. He is Jeff Gordon's project and I'm sure he will learn from the mistakes in PR from his, Jr, JJ, and Chase's careers to help get him over.



BTW: when someone does Denny wrong he is quick to show telemetry data to show what they did. How come we haven't seen and from him this week to prove he didn't hit Kyle L?
