<Exactly. Russia should discover it after the fact.

sadly, it seems like that might be an older photo.  folks are claiming that is the Antonov An-225 Mriya that was destroyed at the beginning of the war.  Not sure.

Edit: looks like that is stock photo from a training exercise last year  https://www.nato.int/cps/fr/natohq/photos_192547.htm

If only there was some way to tell if it was an An-225 or an An-124-100M other than looking at the paint on the nose.

Good catch.  I still think that training started months ago for some of this equipment coming in.

Original tweet was corrected too.

Thanks AT!

This is a win in any event.

I doubt it, but anyone know if we will supply the DU rounds for the Bushmaster auto cannon?

This page has Bradly info on the Bradly depleted uranum round I am referring to:

https://www.orau.org/health-physics-museum/collection/consumer/depleted-uranium/penetrators.html

When used in the Bradley, s Bushmaster auto cannon, this round offers enhanced effects on enemy armor.

However, the rounds use is controversial.

The CSTO Russian Empire is imploding.

Fixed. Imperialism has no place in the 21st century world. Putin and his kleptocracy did not believe this, and Russia is paying for it. China will be next. They definitely believe in Chinese imperialism, and they will push for the territories they believe belong to them (Taiwan).

Are there Patriots in theatre yet? I keep hearing about training on them, but can't recall if they are active or not.

I'm hoping beyond hope that the spring offensive brings a mass of new armaments into play. Namely up to date armour, aircraft, and ATACMs like yesterday.

If pOO-tin hits a bunch of churches or otherwise does some dumb shit over his proposed joke cease-fire, I hope that spurs ATACMs being handed over. UKR needs the ability to deep strike Crimea and possibly even sites in Russia that border Crimea in order to soften it up enough to start a push through and minimize resupply/reinforcements from further East of the UKR push.

I suppose the Kerch bridge will go bye-bye around then as well.

I think the Ukrainians are training on a Romanian Patriot system, but it's big that 2 of those systems are going in.  Nothing concrete on them being in theater yet.

I do have a healthy skepticism on these calls.  I do believe plenty of the Russian troops would say these things, but it's obviously very easy to manufacture and impossible to verify.

I find them basically irrelevant except for maybe evidence collection against the person on the call.

With tens of thousands of soldiers making calls you will find sick fucks or hateful bravado in some of the calls.

I’m sure a lot of embarrassing shit was said in private calls from Iraq and Afghanistan.

The general behavior of the Russians in theater certainly makes these calls more believable, though.

My intuition is that the calls are probably legit, but that there are a lot that we don't hear about because they're not incriminating... probably what you would expect from any soldier phoning home.  The ones that are really bad may be rare... or maybe not.

It would be worth it to get Reuters, WaPo, AFP or somebody into the listening posts to publicly verify that yes, Ukraine is capturing real cell calls. I don't know if that is happening, but it should. If Ukraine's process could be publicly vetted, it would help the PR war. Ukraine is doing great with the PR/info war, and should continue to improve in this area as well.

It's just like the drone grenade drop videos - the handful that are publicly released are publicly released because they have propaganda value. There must be 87% of them that are absolutely nothing.

I felt the same at first, but over time they have verified the conditions Russian soldiers are facing.  After Ukrainian offensives, their lack of communications, then getting frightened about long range counter battery fire, lack of ammo and supplies and others were confirmed later on by other sources.
