Probably a stopgap of using 'smart scopes' + dumb munitions may be worth looking into. Such as pairing the Carl Gustaf with Aimpoint Fire Control Unit with unguided 84mm. Not as good as a Javelin, but a much higher hit probability than a AT4/RPG etc. |

The MQM-105 was developed for the artillery, it's ground control station was tied into The TACFIRE network, it was a failed program but it traces it lineage to the late 70s. The Marine Corps often puts UAS DS to a FAHQ, the video of the large prep under night vision often shown was the result of UAS feed going to 11ths Marines Counter Fire Coordination Center |
