I'm not sure who I hate more right now. The Russians or the so-called commie-servatives trying to embolden Russia and fuck Ukraine over.

Fuck it. In 10-20 years when Russia attacks a NATO country, maybe then it will be obvious how shitty they are? It won't be my kids dying at that point, but my grand kids.

Situation update from October 3, 2023, on the 587th day of #GuerreEnUkraine

🇷🇺 renounced the "elastic defense" (the 1st line absorbs the assault, wears out the enemy and falls back on the 2nd line which counterattacks) for a “rigid defense” where it sacrifices its elite units

2/n

@guillaume_ancel
believes that the dike 🇷🇺 is giving way in the "battle of the triangle" 👇 ( #Verbove - #novoprokopivka - #Robotyne ) due to catastrophic losses of the elite units which lower their morale

3/n

2 cases support his thesis

1- the case of the 31st airborne brigade 🇷🇺
Before being killed, the commander of the 31st, operating on line #Klischiivka - #Andriivka , reported "the morale of his unit had reached a critical level" and asked to be relieved

4/n

TEPLINSKY 👇, the general in chief of the paratroopers, shared this opinion and sent the remains of this unit to rest.
However, he cannot thus relieve the 7th and 76th Airborne Divs who are fighting in the "battle of the triangle"...

5/n

2- the case of the 205th Fu Mot Brig (49th Army)

The commander of the 205th brigade was not killed, he was dismissed.
His brigade defended the left bank of the Dnieper, opposite #Kherson
The officer of a 205th unit suffered an artillery barrage

6/n

such that he wanted to withdraw his detachment, without counter-battery support, on the grounds that "the morale of his unit had reached a critical level"
He was refused by the commander of the 205th brigade 👇 , code name "skif"
The unit was destroyed...

7/n

Put into abyss,
Time Machine,
If you have lost track, pick it up again with N°DLXXXVI of #GuerreEnUkraine 👇

https://twitter.com/escortert/status/1708869336482619709

8/n

------> OPERATIONS DASHBOARD  sector 2 #VelykaNovosilka  secteur 3 #Orikhiv  DONBASS FRONT (excluding #Bakhmut )  Backstage <-----

space 🇷🇺 , OTSC, #Arménie

The Armenian parliament ratified the Rome statute of the ICC 👇 , #Poutine will be arrested if he sets foot in #Arménie (member of the CSTO, NATO 🇷🇺 )…

9-23 snipped, not because they're not good, but...damn.

24/n

It is by these weak signals that we judge the decline in power 🇷🇺 in its near abroad

3rd- Rule of law and judicial reforms is basically, they want the courts accept Brussels court ruling when Brussels says something is legal or illegal, Hungary needs to accept it.
4th- EU wants Hungary to accept the private universities and their bullshit. In Hungary ,if a private university has a degree program than it needs to have an accredited program and setup. Central European University which is Soros university was basically churning out basket weaving degrees without certified instructors. Also CEU was having academic programs where participants didn't need to do certain things where the public and other universities were required to do. For example, you take an basket weaving or 7000 genders or womens studies program, they didn't have certified instructors for it and they just gave you a degree after churning out bullshit.
Or CEU has an Computer Science programs and they didn't do the required training or direct experience.

This isn't fair and all Hungary wanted was for the CEU and others is to have required certified teachers and also a certified program.
You want to take an English program, usually it requires you to study or do one or two terms in an English spoken sister program like if you did CEU, then you can come to New York or Florida and take programs and vice versa.
CEU wasn't do that but for every other university in Hungary, they were required and the EU laws MANDATED that they have those programs and educational materials available.
5th- Ukraine changed the language laws forcing and mandating that all education must be done in UKRANIAN only and nothing else when before the law, there was language programs and courses in Hungarian that students can take but they also did it in Ukrainian. My friends school in Beregszasz was Hungarian and Ukrainian for the rest of the day and then another had English and Ukrainian. The new laws in 2016 mandated only Ukrainian and nothing else. So even the American schools and British schools in English were being effected by the laws. But you know that those schools got waivers so they can still teach in English. But Hungarians didn't.

I hope that is the basic gist of it.

TLDR..

CEU Soros churned out a diploma mill school n budapest and students got ahead by cheating, EU says Hungary isn't being nice to Illegal migrants, listening to EU laws, and Ukraine changed laws making Hungarian illegal to teach.

Thank you Jozsi.
Basically Brussels/EU want to eliminate Hungarian sovereignty and shove their woke bullshit down everyone's throats.

It’s not that simple.

If one were to join an association with X rules then later the association added rules you opposed in a manner to couldn’t reject is it really the person that members fault?

Leaving isn’t that simple either.  It was a marathon to England to leave.  Once globalists get their hooks in they aren’t going to make it easy to walk out.

It’s my understanding of that areas history that post WWII parts of Hungary were taken by the Soviets and given to the territory of Ukraine.  I imagine that’s what Jozsi is talking about.  I don’t think it unreasonable to have an ethnic population educated in their native tongue.

That’s far different than Russians that imported theirselves in other land usually after the Soviets killed or deported the poor bastards natives living there.  I can see why that would be a sore point for Hungarians living in Ukraine.

Jesus Christ, what a shitshow the thread on this is. There really are some dumb motherfuckers here these days. Nothing bad will come of these 8 clowns aligning with AOC and the rest of The Squad!

If anyone wants to listen to why this was such a massive setback to Conservatives in government, Mark Levin had Thomas Massie (who is certainly no friend in aiding Ukraine) on to spell it out. I'm sure this will be better received here by thinking folks than pearls before swine elsewhere:

I think he just got tired of this place and left (I can't blame him). I do recall him saying before he left that he'd be heading down range again over the summer, so I hope he's alright.

I had to stop looking at that thread and others like it, the stupidity is just off the charts. They simply don't know or understand or have decided to be willfully ignorant of the truth and reality outside of their echo chamber bubble.

I'm afraid it's just more evidence of the effect Trump and his ilk are having on the people and the party. It's bad for our country and the interests of The People. Our interests absolutely include stopping Russia and aiding Ukraine.

That's not necessarily so. With the right lenses, that effect is achievable in-camera with no processing needed, even back in film days. And with modern processing in digital cameras, it's even easier.

€22 billion in total, are still blocked on grounds such as democratic backsliding, a child protection law widely considered homophobic, Hungary’s treatment of asylum seekers, and the academic independence of Hungarian universities. Hungary is also waiting for €5.8 billion in grants and €6.6 billion in cheap EU loans under the recovery fund. To access these resources, it will have to meet 27 conditions.

Recently, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán  declared that the country would not support Ukraine in any international relations issue until the language rights of ethnic Hungarians living there are restored.

The language rights of 0.4% of the population?

So the EU is holding up tens of billions of euros for Hungary because it doesn’t like policies the democratically elected leaders put in place?

...did not anticipate having to use this tactic as their primary strategy. As demonstrated in the initial attempts at advancement, NATO instructors, along with AFU, practiced tactics involving powerful armored breakthroughs that were intended to breach enemy defenses and create disorganization among Russian forces, preventing them from organizing defenses behind lost positions.

...inconspicuous and does not attract the attention of the entire artillery group on the front.

During the use of small infantry group tactics, vehicles should not remain with the soldiers throughout the assault. Their sole purpose is to transport the soldiers while suppressing the forward positions with fire and then retreat. Before transporting the soldiers for the assault, the position is "burned out" by artillery fire, reducing the defenders' chances of success.

Therefore, potential losses in case of unsuccessful operations using small infantry group tactics are much lower than attempting a large-scale armored breakthrough. A single armored vehicle or 2 does not attract as much attention as a cluster of 15-20 armored vehicles. With sufficient qualifications of infantry, the chance of success is relatively high. This tactic justifies the resources invested and potential losses concerning the achieved result. For this year it is becoming increasingly popular both within the UAF and among occupiers.

The stupid is getting so thick in this country that I'm starting to feel like a stranger/foreigner in my own home these days. I grew up feeling pride in my country because we've always had a tradition of standing for what is right in this world. I felt pride in being a republican because we were the party of common sense and reason for so many years. Now look at what we've become. It is honestly depressing. All of these right wing versions of AOC running around flapping their gums are making me want my RINO's back. People like Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham may be swamp creatures, but at least they are smart enough to know that Russia is the enemy.

It use to be both sides recognized the Soviets/Russia as the enemy, no question. I can understand the Democrats after 1991 warming up to fellow travelers. But totally weird that a faction of Republicans and are totally blind to Russia as the evil empire in spite of repeated invasions and daily war crimes.

Good luck electing a Republican speaker. The eight will never vote for anyone the others nominate. And the majority of Republicans will not vote for one of the eight. The Frms can play spoiler to either side enduring the most idiotic nominee is elected.

All of these right wing versions of AOC running around flapping their gums are making me want my RINO's back. People like Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham may be swamp creatures, but at least they are smart enough to know that Russia is the enemy.

Do not let the impression this site gives you, dictate how you see the rest of the country.
There are far more critical thinkers out there, than the cross section of ARF will give you.
Believe it or not, there are actually some liberals who posses critical thinking than this site would have you think.

Maybe it’s the time to break away from crazies on both sides.

Your commitment is commendable. No one will ever question your resolve.

At some point, you are going to have to weigh the sacrifices and benefits that Ukraine is facing, and it is not a favorable balance.

When our friends, family, and our allies are in a situation that is unwinnable, we (should) give them the best, most honest, and most survivable advice based on our expertise.

This conflict needs to end, Ukraine has suffered enough.

Peace is the only prize.

Ah, I love when the Russian narrative rolls through, Stop the war to save Ukrainians!

Hilarious!!!  Either side can stop it any time they want. Ukraine by surrending and accepting genocide. Or Russia my returning to its recognized borders and quit firing missiles into Ukraine.

But when these negotiation breezes blow through here it is a sure sign Russia is hurting.    Hurting bad. 😁

Russia needs to accept its fate at this pivotal moment. They have finally fallen below the artillery rounds fired per day rate of Ukraine at about 7K rds versus 8K. With 120 friends around the world Ukraine can keep this up a long long time.

Not Russia. They can only produce 1.5 million per year, or 4,100 per day.

Russia can beg for negotiations all it wants. Please? Please?! Their war crimes have sealed their fate. With five friends in the world  they are going to get crushed all the while begging for negotiations. When Russia wants to talk it means they ran out of viagra for their little peckers.

Please beg some more!

Russian prosecutors requested a nine-and-a-half-year jail sentence for a fugitive former Russian state TV journalist. The prosecution made the demand during the trial in absentia of Marina Ovsyannikova, who became famous for bursting onto a news broadcast with a placard that read “Stop the war” and “They’re lying to you”. She has been accused of distributing “fake news”, a term used against those in Russia who question Moscow’s official narrative on its invasion of Ukraine: Al Jazeera.

Wow. I am impressed. Russia is so based, they even have service dogs that will sense a homoerotic episode starting and literally pump the globohomo out of them. Very advanced culture.

According to the sources, Budapest wants the EU "halfway" to assess when another €25 billion can be provided to Ukraine based on needs.

Orban said that it should also be taken into account that the United States plans to provide money, so 50 billion "may be too much."

According to Bloomberg, this is the money that Ukraine will receive in 2024-2027. Earlier, Hungary blocked such assistance using various arguments, including delays in its financing of 13 billion euros, and the inclusion of the Hungarian bank OTP Bank in Ukraine's list of war sponsors.

——————————
Orban gets a reprieve from Europe hoping to encourage his goodwill. Instead, he wants to play little dictator.

I hope the Baltics, Nordics and Poland start playing fuck fuck with him. Yes, if we all acted like you we could all burn down together.

Europe shouldn’t have released the $16 billion (while withholding another 25), rather they should have tied it directly to Ukraine aid by corresponding percentage. Ukraine should keep OTP Bank on the enablers of terrorist list because that is Orban’s pain point.

When Russia’s economy collapses it will be fun to watch Orban come begging for a nuke plant and begging for cheap oil. I hope the Hungarians realize what an ass he is and toss him out for hooking up with Russia.

No matter how much they like his domestic issues, his getting in bed with Putin will be an eventual disaster for Hungary and the. What good will all that domestic policy be?

Others such as Poland have navigated similar diplomatic waters with friendship and respect while adhering to their own country’s values. How does getting in bed with Russia ever turn out well for the vassal state?

So pathetic.

There is too much invested in Hungary for it to fail when Russia collapses.

What will probably happen is the fast track of Polish sponsored Nukes and the southern oil route from Azerbaijan will be used.

What is invested in Hungary already?

Audi, Mercedes,  BMW, Porsche,  Ford, Suzuki, Opel-GM.
Mercedes just completed over 1 trillion Euros in new faculties and factories in Hungary.

For it to fail will collapse many companies including RheinMetall.

The port of Mariupol will receive large ships. Andriushchenko explained why the occupiers are deepening the port

After deepening the canal of the port of Mariupol, it will be able to receive large cargo ships. And this is a matter of logistics for the Russian forces, which will make it possible to form a large logistics hub together with the railway. This was stated on the air of Radio Liberty (Svoboda.Ranok project) by the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, Petro Andryushchenko.

According to him, a suction dredger is currently operating in the port of occupied Mariupol, a special vessel of the technical fleet that is engaged in dredging. As a result, large vessels may begin to enter the city's port, and not just the "river-sea" class with a shallow draft, as it is now.

"And the worst thing in this situation, going back to the railway and to this circle around the Sea of Azov: the railway track that they unite, this branch – it starts in Mariupol in the port. That is, in fact, you can understand what a large logistics hub it becomes. That is, we have the sea, we have the railway, which can start working in the near future. If they are not stopped now in some effective way, then at least in the spring we will see it," says the mayor's adviser.

He pointed to some accents: in particular, to the fact that 30 nautical miles from the port of Mariupol there is a port in the Russian city of Yeysk, which also allows receiving large ships. There are also ports in Rostov-on-Don, occupied Kerch and Sevastopol.

"There is a military airfield near Yeysk that is capable of receiving large cargo planes. That is, even in terms of military logistics: the plane landed today in Yeysk - in about three hours it will be in the port of Mariupol. With all the loading and unloading, it will take up daylight hours. Even in winter. This is a serious risk for military logistics. And that's exactly what the Russians want to build. This is the number one question for them. They've been fighting over it for a year now. Fortunately, it hasn't come to that yet. But we see that there are already some changes, and the railway indicates that they may have found some kind of solution," Andriushchenko explains.

Earlier, the Russian service of Radio Liberty compared the images of Planet Labs, from which it becomes clear that the Russian army and occupation authorities are building a new highway from Rostov-on-Don to occupied Mariupol.

In addition, Petro Andriushchenko, an adviser to the legitimate mayor of Mariupol, said that Russian forces are also building a new railway track.

The occupiers are trying to make a direct railway connection with Mariupol, Volnovakha and Donetsk, the adviser says. The construction of a railway bridge is allegedly already underway near the village of Hranitne over the Kalmius River. Later, Andryushchenko says, this will create a direct connection with the Russian cities of Taganrog and Rostov-on-Don, which could reduce the dependence of Russian forces on the Kerch Bridge railway.

Mariupol was captured by Russian forces in May 2022 after nearly three months of fierce fighting. During this time, a significant part of houses and other objects in the city was destroyed. The exact death toll is unknown, with estimates ranging from a few thousand to several tens of thousands.

Ukraine and international human rights organizations accuse Russia of numerous war crimes committed in Mariupol. Among them is the shelling of the maternity hospital and the attack on the Drama Theater, where people were hiding. The Russian Defense Ministry calls these accusations "fakes."
