So, Z-Russians on Telegram are now talking about their losses in the Battle of Avdiivka in 2023-2024. Allegedly, it's 16,000 men as 'irreplaceable losses' (e.g., all fatalities + all severely wounded that will never be back to ranks again), as well as around 300 armored vehicles. So, if that's true (though it's likely that Russians traditionally understate their losses, at least when it comes to lost equipment, given the gargantuan amount of verified video footage we've seen) -- it means that over the four months of the Avdiivka campaign between mid-October and mid-February, the Russian fatalities rate surpassed the official death toll of the Soviet-Afghan War (1979-1989), which stands at 15,000 fatalities. Yes, the ill-fated and formerly sadly-remembered senseless war in 'Afghan' that once left a heavy scar on an entire generation and particularly precipitated the fall of the Soviet Union... Fighting for Avdiivka continued since the very days of 2014 and 2015 and lasted with varying intensity all those years before 2022, and was also extremely bloodletting and fierce for almost two years of Russia's full-scale invasion. Moreover, the claimed Russian death toll at Avdiivka... literally corresponds to some 50% of the city's entire population in 2021 (some 32,000). And that's within the last four months alone and according to likely downplayed Russian estimates. I guess that to take New York City, Russians would have to ditch 4.5 million soldiers under the same scheme or what? And the defense of Avdiivka gradually crumbled particularly due to a severe lack of munitions and means to counter Russian jets relentlessly throwing dozens of guided bombs at the city each and every day. Stalemate around the Ukraine aid at the U.S. Congress is already taking its toll. And amid all those shortcomings, see the absolutely savage efficacy of the Ukrainian defense, outnumbered and outgunned, -- again. A four-month battle vs a 10-year-long war in Afghanistan. Those are death toll estimates from Russians, not us. We could have been celebrating victory over the aggressor right now, or at least we could have been much closer to restoring just and stable peace in Europe if Ukraine had been provided with everything it asked for. There's still time.
View Quote Russian propagandists did not enjoy the revelations by Murz. Had a whole 30-minute segment on Solovyev's channel, and even read the statement out loud. Funnily enough, they didn't argue the numbers, only discussed the repercussions that Murz deserves. I'd tell them, leave Murz alone. It is obviously convenient criticising someone criticising your enormous senseless losses from a studio. You don't want the people of your country to know the truth that 16,000+ men were brutally killed to occupy a piece of land no one will be talking about in a few weeks. The trick of the great patriotic war won't work here, the info of this disaster will continue leaking, and fire back at you eventually. Your best bet is to get your sh*t and f*ck off from Ukraine.

🔴🔴🔴 Mariupol. Not just loud, but fire! It is reported that a burning plane has fallen in the area of the village. Fishing In addition, the city continues to hear explosions. What a fun Monday. Rusnia, did you eat? https://t.me/andriyshTime/18388
https://twitter.com/TreasChest/status/1759485792370499791 Vehicle traffic on the Crimean Bridge is temporarily blocked. Those on the bridge and in the inspection area are asked to remain calm and follow the instructions of transport security officers. https://t.me/most_official/4554 Reports on the work of air defense in Donetsk and Makeevka https://t.me/itsdonetsk/137028 Possibly this, although it seemed REALLY quick- Mariupol ... Komsomol members shot down a British-made Banshee Jet-80 UAV ... https://t.me/supernova_plus/28419 Video
Kremenivka of the Mariupol district. 20 minutes ago - the work of enemy air defense. Hey, you guys in Mariupol, Taganrog and Rostov don't relax yet. We have not yet asked all the questions about bread. https://t.me/andriyshTime/18413 Huh. This may or may not be the same incident, but I'm a little skeptical.
02/19/2024 Rybatskoe village, Mariupol district, Donetsk People's Republic, Russia. On the Su-34 - again and again - p#dezh. Regarding the Su-35, there is no good news. And again the question is open - who shot down... /by the way, the A-50 and Su-35 were also written off as Patriots. This is the case when some top leaders, in order to cover their own ass, are even ready to wave at the enemy. And the essence of the problem is the lack of normal communications among our air defense forces. https://t.me/romanov_92/44339 And again the question of connection is raised, and again in connection with a very bitter experience. Friendly fire is precisely a consequence of the lack of high-quality communication, although Sun Tzu wrote about the importance of communication a couple of thousand years ago. And a detailed description of our communications project, which has already been implemented and has proven itself in large departments, is gathering dust somewhere on the desk of some general in the Main Communications Directorate. This is what causes sadness most of all. Although for the cost of the Su-35 it would be possible to implement the project on the entire front and even do more, including creating reserves. https://t.me/Alekhin_Telega/9459 View Quote |

Such as actual numbers backed up by anything. He challenges opposing opinions to provide facts but he doesn’t. At least that I’ve seen. He tells people they are wrong, but has no other facts to back up his opinions either. He literally jumped in after a post of detailed information on the cost of demil DPICM and claimed the opposite. Without any numbers or references. There are at least three detailed posts that refute his claims with both data and cites. It’s pretty clear the cost to transport is near the same as demil and his claim that transport is far cheaper is just as wrong as my claim that transport is cheaper. Kind of tarnishes any claim he has to be an SME in either matter. I make no claim to be an SME in anything other than system design, managing teams and projects. I have passing experience as a commercial driver in quarries where tanker trucks of explosives come every two weeks to blow rocks up, and transporting hazmat of everything but 1.1 by truck, and building an expense system for railroad that tracks every possible cost for transporting by rail. All that to say 1.1 hazmat is more expensive than other HM but incrementally so not outrageously so. There are well defined procedures, containment and companies that specialize in it to move it around the world every single day without a big fuss. And it doesn’t take an SME to observe that certain posters work very hard to find excuses not to aid Ukraine without contributing any ideas or knowledge of how to do something to counter Russia. Which is exactly what we see in our political and military leadership: paralysis by analysis combined with obsession of fears over escalation or some war in the future that may or may not happen. |

Otherwise they will spend what they have already captured and be left with nothing. Your point is exactly what many Western leaders seem oblivious to. It isn’t Putin or a good or bad replacement. The entire country and culture is to feather the bed of Moscow and St Petersburg by pillaging outer provinces and new subject countries. Any Russian leader must expand the empire or it will collapse. The person convulses, they try to restrain him, and bruises appear. They also said that he also had a bruise on his chest. But one that appears in connection with indirect cardiac massage. That is, they still tried to resuscitate him, and he died, most likely, from cardiac arrest. But why the heart stopped, no one is saying anything yet." Even going as far back as the mid 1990s, people were worried about MANPAD proliferation and what that meant -- 9/11 kicked that into high gear since a few guys with MANPADS near runways could easily match 9/11 in terms of deaths. So there's been a multidecade effort to hoover up MANPADS off the black/gray market globally and destroy them. While successful, it's meant that there's no vast quantity Iglas on the market that we can source for Ukraine. |

If reports are to be believed, within the last two weeks or so, 6 x FLANKERS, or about 1% of all FLANKER production, has been lost over/near Ukraine. Meanwhile, the Special Military Operation to Decartelize Mexico is going splendidly. US forces have just liberated Chihuahua after losing over 300 AFVs and about 10,000 men there over the last nine months. In the air, we've lost six F-15Es in the last week. At sea, we just had an LPD-17 sunk by Mexican Suicide USVs. If we continue at this rate...by 2036, we'll have reached Mexico City. |
