They seriously need to kill off some of the lesser characters.
Tara, Morgan, and Michonne have run their course, especially Tara. Michonne just sucks at everything and the sword ninja thing to way played out. I would like more story about the saviors like the episode with only Eugene. That imo was the best of the season. Trevor and Dwight are actually kind of interesting if given a story. |

I never realized Sasha's real life husband is a character on the show until now.

After the first battle with the Governor it was fall again, when the series picked back up it was spring/summer again, so that's winter #2. After the second battle with the governor when they are on the road again and run into the Claimers that is possibly fall/winter #3. When they run into Aaron they are suffering from heat exhaustion and dehaydration which would make me think it is summer again. Whey they are discussing kicking Rick out it is cold out again which would make me think that was around winter #4. Not sure exactly how long it has been but it has to be more then 2 years in my opinion. .50 ammo isn't something you find at the local Walmart or in quantity at most gun shops. If the zompie apocalypse happened tommrow and I found a 240 I would have some 7.62mm to feed it, but no links so it would just be a really heavy piece of metal I can't use. Without belted ammunition you can't do anything with a machine gun. Worth view the situation from the Saviors perspective. Rick and company would be the stuff nightmares are made out of. They wiped out an entire outpost, plus at least a 3 other squad size groups of saviors. Since they made Rick's group submit there have been 3 attempts to kill Negan. Rosita pulling a concealed pistol and then both Carl and Sasha attempting kamikaze attacks. Now they sent Negan and the Saviors running for their lives after seeing one of their own get eaten by a tiger. I'd be getting rather nervous if I was a low ranking member of the Saviors. Rick just figured out (and should have known by now ) when you plan something like that you have a few people you trust absolutely placed in strategic places that NO ONE ELSE knows where they are so if shit goes sideways they can take out those who need taking out.

How will Rick manage to fight the saviors with the heapsters joint them giving them huge numbers? |

The final assault on the prison in season 4 is an excellent example... you have a mexican standoff that ends in a huge gun fight. And not only was it a standoff taking place at hundred plus yards, but tons of people died and were wounded in that battle. To use the liberal terminology de jure it "felt" like a weighty battle that had consequence. The skirmish last night was like a phantom dump... lots of stomach clutching as they slowly limped to the bathroom only to result in a bunch of noise and fury with nothing of any consequence coming out. All said they must have dumped ten thousand rounds in all directions in close quarters with children's cartoon casualties. And that is ignoring the actual functional "how did it happen" questions others have already brought up, like how did the Kingdom and Hilltop know each other, and how did they get into Alexandria anyway without anyone noticing... and how in any fantasy world does a 600 pound tiger move completely unseen through a crowd of people. Suffice it to say the show has been sliding down hill since season 5. It is taking a lot of my patience to keep watching, and I may transition from "fan with serious reservations" to outright "hostile witness" next season. I hate to think this way but right now I'm polishing my baseball bat, dreaming of bashing Fear the Walking Dead's skull in in two months. I'm going to hate watch that show so hard I'm going to need to build two robot companions to aid me in my violent snarkbashing of it. View Quote Lots of convenient coincidences and inconsistencies in this season, not to mention this episode. Would Rick have killed Grandma at Oceanside had a huge group of walkers not conveniently uncloaked and amassed at just the right time? Does Negan not realize that taking other peoples' wives against their wills and holding them prisoner in his own harem where only he can have sex with them is basically rape? Question: Was anyone expecting Negan to kill Coral or were you just waiting for a last second white knight to save the day? Same thing for Michonne. Was anyone thinking it was her that did the falling from the rooftop? And someone please tell me how a tame(?) tiger knows who to attack and who to leave alone in a live firefight between 5 different elements. I am now actively hoping for the bad guys to kill off good guys in the show. I mean, how freakin' clumsy do they have to write this whole Gregory versus Maggie thing? He can't kill a walker and she's prancing around all pregnant and apparently in need of constant medical attention yet spearheads Hilltop's assault into Alexandria? Are these writers using crayons when they write the scripts? We already knew he was a self-serving asshole that might sell his own people out for his own best interests. But for Pete's sake, they might as well have dressed him in a black suit with a handle bar mustache and had him tie Maggie to some railroad tracks considering the lack of subtlety in these scripts. |

I think Sirensong hit the nail on the head... last night was an awkward throwback to 80s action writing. It was like a ham-fisted combination of amateur Shakespeare fanfiction and Rambo... trying so hard to be artistic, but coming off way too long winded and stilted in its delivery. Then afterwards the "face" wounded are shown to be ok in the hospital, and Saviors Commander consults with Doctor Genebender on how their crazy plan fell apart. Also, all the "gasoline" cars and trucks would probably be useless by now. They should be switching over to diesel cars and trucks, and show them setting up small scale diesel fuel refineries, there would be plenty of stuff to make diesel for years to come. They really need to be thinking about winding this show down. |

Kind of glad this season is over...but disappointed Negan is still alive. The frustrating part about this season is Negan isn't that scary outside of the gore in the first episode and they had to make Rick's character so week to play up the saviors.
Rick went from biting throats out to kneeling and pleading with a knife to a guy with his back turned half the time armed with a baseball bat. The saviors should have been an event in the storyline not the storyline. |

I just keep thinking that my biggest gripe with the finale was the foreshadowing that ruined Sasha's sacrifice.
It really was a just a spell out for the audience. We knew exactly what was going to happen when Negan opened that coffin.. It would have been a much more surprising moment had it not been completely explained in the minutes that preceded it. The only explanation needed was Eugene's nervous answer as to why she was dead, and Negan's doubtfulness. |

"Hey, I got no arc, either. I was born, grew up, spent a few years in the Army, few more in the can--and here I am, a half a wise guy. So what?". That said I mean, for fucks sake, Rick is still carrying a revolver. its not a revolver its a F%$Kin PYTHON After the betrayal does this mean Jadis gets no boom boom from Rick. If i don't like a show, i won't watch it. Pretty simple concept. Watch something else, fuck your SO, go to a bar, etc.. So many other things to do, than watch something you don't like. You'll probably even feel better the next day. |
