Stuck out of state waiting on my Jeep to get fixed,  but the hotel I'm at has a duck pond which is nice.

ETA, I’m flabbergasted. That’s a straight pull from my iPhone 8, only edit was cropping some shadow.

Whatever apple put in that logic, it sure worked on that frame.

Or so I thought. I get to my first location, pull the camera, and what’s this?  No focus?  Hmmm, maybe the lens isn’t seated. Yep, it’s seated. Oh!  No power!  Seems I’d swapped the half charge one for the dead one I hadn’t charged yet.

Oh well, at least I had the GoPro.

@FredMan

Pick up a pair of these from Amazon, or elsewhere.  They're rechargeable by USB-C cable directly into the battery itself.  So you can pretty much charge them any where if you have a USB-C cable, and a 12v plug, power brick, or power bank.

Good to know!

Though I am partial to OEM batteries for cameras; had a knock off one time that shit the bed at a most in opportune time.

I really like that first fox pic.

That look is as if he’s deciding whether to just kill your or eat you after.

But, photo (or two!) a day. And what a monumental day it is.

My D3200 is so noisy in darker environments. Every time I use it I want to go to the shop and get a budget mirrorless. But it still produces a photo now and then that I'm super happy with.

Took this at a Fathers Day show today.

He was yawning!   I kinda wish I could have,  he had others on him too.   Also without the fence I would have gotten a cleaner photos of this.

A few of the enclosures lack decent lighting, but overall the National Zoo is surprisingly photography friendly.

It felt like a western, in the sense of being an ant under a magnifying glass in the blazing hot sun.

See that tree line off in the distance?  About a mile away?  That’s where the truck is. But I was only halfway done counting seedlings so it took another hour and a half to work my way back.

Small town 4th parade.  I'm not normally a people kind of photographer, but considering the totality of the circumstance (100 degrees, evil evil direct noonday sun) I think it came out alright.

I mean, not Carl alright, but with no flash?  It'll do.

Haven't gotten dark & moody doesn't quite work with very fair skinned models yet,  too easy to under and over expose at the same time.  I will figure it out eventually.
