I thought this thread was about the kids shoes with rollers in the heels. I haven't seen any of them lately, thank god. Are the skateboard shoes a city thing? The only people that wear them around here are a few kids and the rare douchbags that refuse to grow up. I know city people are different though. Buying expensive athletic shoes and not wearing them a month later because they got a small scuff mark in them.

I wear size 16 shoes, I'll wear whatever the fuck fits.

I'm still going to pretend this is about Heelies.
I think my last pair of vans was in 94. But I wouldn't hate on someone my age wearing them. I bought a pair of DCs on clearance. |

So I have to play tennis to wear tennis shoes, run to wear running shoes, hike to wear hiking shoes? The list goes on and on OP, I think your the weird one, I bet baseball hats in restaurants really freak you out! Lol!!!

I've been wearing Vans for almost 20 years. My daughter wears them now too. I love them. Tie them once when I buy them and I can slip my for in and out without having to retie them.

He's a commie dirtbag, but it's still ok for old fuckers to wear skate shoes.

I wear sneakers to work, and hiking boots or steel-toes elsewhere. No skate shoes for me, but other folks wearing them doesn't exactly give me heartburn.

If your skate shoes aren't stainless steel, they aren't real skate shoes.

I've owned and still own several pairs of Vans, but I'll never get the thing where people wear them virtually untied, with the padding in the tongue not even slightly compressed by the laces.
I'm a pretty active sort, and I don't like the unsure feeling that loosely worn footwear provides. |

I wear them whenever I am at the gym. Lifting in big pillow soled shoes sucks.

I wore them up until my mid 30's, then switched to trail running shoes for casual stuff.
They're way more comfortable, especially with inserts. IIRC I liked DVS a lot, they just fell apart too quickly. Trail runners are light and durable, albeit a bit more expensive. I grew up skateboarding and the shoes were something I didn't really think about until I did. |

Also have some Etnies, an old ass pair of Airwalk's, and Adidas. Come at me, bro.

I wore a pair of vans almost exclusively for 4 years until they wore out. One of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn.

I haven't stopped wearing skate shoes, but some do go good with casual wear, just go basic with it all if you wear casual clothes.

+1 I came here to ask that same thing. Is it just the brand name, or is it a particular style of shoe? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

I dont wear them anymore, but feel free to wear whatever is comfortable.

I have 2 pairs of Vans and wear them from time to time. Comfy inexpensive shoes. I did skate a lot but haven't in 20 years. OP is jelly.
