Was talking to my brother and sister in law last night. They have been tracking their ballots, neither has been received or counted. Interestingly, brother is a registered independent, SIL is a registered dem. Joked with my sister in law about how they probably opened her ballot, saw that she voted for Trump and tossed it out. She said "well, I am not going to tell you who I voted for..........but that is probably what happened..... "My ballot still shows as having been mailed to me and that is it (I voted in person). |

I called Peavy a couple months later because I was trying to look into its history. The guy I talked to at Peavy was fucking awesome and we spent about an hour and a half on the phone. Old engineer guy who helped build heads for Eddie and Satriani among others. I told him I had a ton of trouble finding the amp I had because the letters' EVH' were in block lettering, and most of the ones I saw online had his actual signature. He filled me in the the first run of the amp head had that lettering but an electrical company used EVH in block lettering as their logo. Peavy then was sued by the company unless they stopped producing that block lettering. The gentleman explained to me that I really had one of the first produced Eddie Van Halen heads. I said 'youre bullshitting me', he said 'no, take good care of it... that head has a lot of personality'. Got off the phone and told my dad the story. He said that would make sense because he got the amp head about a week after release. The cool think is Eddie demanded that the head he made should use Ruby Tubes. They later switched to Sylvanian Tubes because I guess Ruby stopped making them. Now between my old man and I, we have worn the shit out of those tubes. But guess who still has the Ruby tubes that still work??? This fucking guy. Guess who did not look to sell his head with history after he passed??? This fucking guy. That head has gain on tap and I can not find anything to match the sound it has. Between the Rock and Roll history of it, and the fact it came from my old man, it is one of the few objects that I will never give up. No matter what. I know, I know... another Lance story. I miss my channel a whole lot, so I will just share with RS. It is my way of venting. Plus I never drink, so these 4 beers are fucking me up. ETA: 5 beers As always, I'm lurking about a day behind. Nevertheless, that has got to be one of the most coolest stories i have read on arfcom.
