The point of SSGN/SSBN submarines is an invisible deterrent, apparently the Iranians needed a little more of an in your face warning. If they published that I can only assume they had ample cause. I also think it’s a reasonable assumption that there is a boomer in range as well but the cruise missile boats are a much more realistic threat.
