Not surprised that they still tried to blame legal gun manufacturers for making the guns that were illegally converted after they were sold. |

I am in a densely populated metro area of DFW. We usually got 87+ or more back when... Only 3 or so years ago. Even in the covid fog we got 20+ masked treat or tricksters... I hope this is not the end of trick or treating as we knew it. Fuck. |

I think my daughter was the last trick or treater seen on the road I live on, and she has since gone to college and gotten her BS degree. They were few and far between, for quite a few years before she was born. Rural dead-end roads can be like that. |

I sat out on the front porch in a lawn chair with my bourbon, flask, cigar and a small bowl of candy on a side table for about an hour. I gave out excessive candy to a few small groups of youngsters. The parents appreciated me being out there since most of the street was dark. I got compliments on my costume from the kids and parents. They were all local and we bemoaned the lack of neighborhood participation. But we all got it. We're in a nice neighborhood not far enough from a bunch of apartment complexes. There were also some non-costumed teenage thugs who rolled through close to when I was heading in - I heard their loud asses coming for awhile. I guess they decided I wasn't their huckleberry. I might have been dressed like Doc Holliday, complete with sidearms and a coach gun. In fairness, I'm tired of buying candy for thug kids who don't live in my neighborhood and can't even bother to dress up. |
