He wrote a children's book? Yeah I can tell it had a big impact on Gen Z what with they're all gay and trans now. Really skewered me with that point

Rush had the time and influence to mentor multiple successors and boost dissident voices, instead he chose to be a star and gatekeeper of the movement. Don't get mad at me, get mad at yourself for doing little more than listening and being entertained.

This, basically. Rich people doing rich people things.

Astros owner just did similar here, bought a historic mansion and demoed it to build whatever.

Just google Kathryn Limbaugh cheating and all sorts of shit pops up about the subject and that they were in the middle of a divorce settlement.

Most of the show content was review and comment on the news, and the few times he did talk about something I had personal knowledge about, it was a double wash of Gell-Mann Amnesia.  He had a loose grip on the published story, which was itself a poor report on actual events, and so he'd riff for 40 minutes upside down and backwards to what was going on.

The funny thing is, the libs tried for literally decades to prove EVERYTHING he said was incorrect and they failed 99+% of the time. It drove them absolutely nuts.

Rush was very generous with his wealth so that’s no surprise. Sounds like she was more of a gold digger which is very unfortunate but I suspect Rush understood that and was ok with it. Cheating, if that happened, was the issue but his Cancer became a priority.

Again if I were him I would’ve just remained a bachelor and had my needs met but everyone that knew him personally said he was just a lovably guy.

10 years ago rented a house for short term in a nice part of town that was aging. It wasn't super expensive but still had the appeal of being a nice part of town. Somone bought the small house across the street for $400k and tore it down to get the lot and then built a new house. The neighbor went through all the permits and pain in the ass to add a second floor that was cantillevered out larger than the ground floor. Crazy to me but some people really want soandso location.

I think what hurt the show most of all was that it seemed to lose its sense of humor in its later days. The Paul Shanklin parody songs disappeared, as did the various Updates, all replaced by standard political talk, which was fine, but the comedy bits were what made the show fun and edgy in its earlier years. It just wasn’t the same.

Houses of the super rich rarely last.

The Long Island mansions of 100+ years ago often stood only 20 years. Many caught on fire when the heirs couldn't afford the property taxes.

Rush's house would have become a maintenance nightmare.

Ironically the new house will be no better, probably worse.

Rush seemed lonely when he was living in that house with just his cat Pumpkin.

If I was in my car at 12:06 PM I tuned in.

For those old enough to remember 1988, Rush was the first.

Who is this guy?...when he first came on the air... He's saying things no one else says.

I used to love listening to his show in the 90s. I had a job that made it easy to listen to the radio while I worked. That changed and I wasn't a regular listener for many years. The people saying he didn't change anything probably weren't around then. He was the only conservative I remember with a large audience, and he did that on AM radio which was pretty much dead. It had to be AM radio because the democrats controlled every other form of media. I think he was a large part of why the republicans won in 1994.
