What "competitors" are selling 40+ year old DA/SA metal framed guns (besides Beretta)? Oddly specific criteria, don't you think? Beretta sells a pile of threaded barrel models including the M9A4 and the 92XI variants. CZ used to sell the SP01 threaded before resetting their classic line to all Shadow guns. They still offer the Nocturne series threaded. HK still sells threaded versions of their traditional guns like the USP, Mk23, and HK45. Several 1911 manufacturers offer threaded barrels, and some like Kimber offer threaded barrels on double stack guns. Sig is the sole outlier here, and that's made extra weird by the fact that they're the only company on this list that's also a full line suppressor manufacturer. If they can do silly stuff like "Nightmare" and "Extreme" and "Nightshift" and whatever they call the gun with a topo map on the slide, they can offer a factory threaded barrel on the pistol that built their reputation in this country. The P226-XCarry is begging for a threaded barrel. |

I can’t stand it to think my life is going so fast and I’m not really living it.

An FCU is supposed to provide modularity and universal design. Now we have 3 types of FCUs. And they go around acting like a low bore axis and trigger dingus is a revolutionary breakthrough … you know stuff people have been doing with polymer striker fired guns since the 80s. And the usual guntube shills will glaze this thing. Loving that guntube is just as bad if not worse than the “dead tree” gun magazines they replaced. |
|
Not really interested in the guns, but the optics have me curious. I don't need a BT enabled pistol sight, but the digital tech is neat and could be the future of weapon optics, who knows. More interested in the Romeo AMR combo at the ~$500 price point. I sort of like a prism + dot combo, but this makes a lot of sense too. |

I think they’ve burned through too much good will. Their optics are just rebranded Chinese stuff… basically the optics equivalent of the “Winchester” branded gas station knife. They look and feel like airsoft year. They mishandled the issues with the dangerous P320 horribly, and that’s not their only QC complaint in recent years. A once serious company has become a goofy lifestyle brand always coming up with some new paint scheme on old shit they pay bro vets on YouTube to pimp for them. I just don’t think I own enough Grunt Gear and BRCC apparel to be a SIG customer in 2026. Maybe I’d feel differently if they finally added a Grip Zone to their pistols following Springfield’s innovation. Surely the patent is nearly expired on a zone to grip the pistol by. |

Internet gun people are going to be mad at Sig the same way they're still mad at Ruger because Bill was a fudd despite him being dead for almost 25 years. In the real world, they're still selling the hell out of P365s. The biggest problem with their optics line is that it's confusing and poorly delineated. Optics like the ROMEO4T, ROMEO8T, and ROMEO-X Enclosed are made in the US, and they're generally equal to or better than comparable entries from Trijicon, Aimpoint, and EOtech. But you rarely see those products because they're expensive and few people know about them. Meanwhile, most of the various optics that have shipped with their pistols over the years are worse than a $199 Holosun. The biggest difference between Sig and a company like Vortex is, Vortex does a much better job of categorizing their products by budget and product line. |

Shawn Ryan was pimping the P385 today on his podcast / video blog. My sense is that they're trying to keep their LE / MIL sales. I'm not going to re-hash the P320 controversy but SIG realizes it's got a bad reputation and its days are numbered. Using the same mags, saves R&D costs, manufacturing and gets P320 owners to consider buying a P385 since they already own P320 mags. I expect SIG will offer enticing deals to LE agencies to trade out P320s for P385s and/or Glocks. S&W was courting LE agencies carrying competitor's guns for a while. These days it seems manufacturers use early adopters as beta testers. I would wait a year before buying one. |

I heard a rumor this gun has been in development for many years and was held off due to optics. The 320 ran its course and this was the replacement. They didn’t want to replace the 320 during the bad press as it would appear they were acknowledging its failures. I like my M17 but don’t shoot it anymore. I still have a few 365s which I like but have moved away from sig and playing more in DASA |

By the end of the run, from what I understand, the P250 was a functional DAO pistol. Not the market's fault that nobody wanted a DAO pistol at that point, that was a complete misfire by SIG, but the late P250 wasn't a bad gun, and you could convert it from .22 LR all the way to .45 ACP. Does the P385 take P320 barrels? At least it takes the P320 mags, that was a smart move. |

That solid state design is the biggest change in pistol optics going back to when ruggedized pistol optics for duty use were introduced, and maybe even before that depending upon one's perspective. So no adjustment click wheels? That is interesting. It’s done with an app. From what I’m told you can have multiple poi settings. |

Which is....an interesting take. I do like that they simply took the 20 and 65 and added them together to get this model number. What data for what speculation? PSA already said they were going to be making a grip frame that takes p320 magazines for the new modular handgun (that is alleged to be completely compatible with the Ruger RXM). Will PSA actually make it? Maybe it's right in line behind the mp5, but if they do make it, it will be another use for 320 magazines that don't involve putting them in a shitty sig product On the gto sales. ![]() NOBODY is taking the p211 seriously. Sure, there might be a handful of people paying $2000 - $3000 for them, but nowhere near enough sales to bring them back from all the damage that's been done with the 320 debacle. Besides, I thought once people are paying that much money for a mass produced gun, they just put on their bro glasses and shitty tattoos and get a staccato? ![]() I can confirm you don’t know what you are talking about when it comes the sales numbers of the gto. |

Honestly, when I read your post, I didn't think that was the point you were trying to make, and Im guessing a few others didn't either

It's not a pistol I will ever purchase. I hope they work well for the people who are buying them. Edit, I go to post in an Sig thread and ARFCOM starts giving me gateway error screens. A coincidence, I think not. |
