Local Asian fusion restaurant for lunch. One waiter, one Asian sushi chef, one Hispanic cook. Four mini spring rolls,
two orders of General Tso, and water. About 15 customers inside, an hour wait to eat, and $42 out the door. Incredible. |

When I was in college, late 1970's, Pedros Taco, Baton Rouge, four tacos, two chalupas and a bean burrito, $1.25
I am one of those that like Taco Bell, and the are expensive these days. Been order the same meals for my wife and I for the last 10 years. What used to $5.50 is now close to $20 |

I went to Taco Bell for the first time in years a couple weeks ago. Was late and options were few. I got the combo with theee tacos supreme and a diet pepsi. Substituted chicken for the beef. Sixteen dollars and change. Never again. Real Mexican joints are everywhere are cheaper. I can get a torta, a couple of sopes, or huevos a la Mexicana and a drink for 11 or 12 dollars at any number of places, and it's real food.
