No clue, really. Every once in a while you see some shyster selling Mexican beef skulls on the side of the road. First off, they are not longhorns. Second, the prep leaves a lot to be desired.
I don't know a single Texan with one, they are far outnumbered by the mounted exotics such as Greater Kudu or Axis deer. |

Hell - I've lived in Texas all but 3 years of my life and cannot recall a single instance of one on public highways.
OP - longhorns these days are pasture furniture more than beef. I suppose if you really wanted one you could purchase a longhorn steer and then shoot it when the horns are big enough for you.
