I prefer the Chevy grilles from these 67-72s with 71-72 being my least favorite of the three styles.

1967 to 1972 Chevy truck......prettiest truck ever.

Make mine a 1971 or '72 (just to get front disc brakes) with 292 engine, 3 speed on the column, stepside, long wheel base, and spare tire on left side.

Bench seats, grill guard, tow hooks, and rear step bumper.

AC would be nice but not required...........it's a truck after all.

Dodge anything sucks. 89 and earlier Ford's and Chevys are the pinnacle.

Those were literally the worst looking Chevy truck years

Had one similar to the first one, only thing I remember about it was the door handles constantly breaking as well as the tailgate latch.
A coworker always called it a 4 times 4, because the x means  multiply.

You’re high. I can hear the infinite cranking to get it started and the rod knock once it finally does. I close my eyes and see rusted fenders and rocker panels. I smell leaking gasoline and exhaust. They may have been okay for a couple of years, but those things turned into a beater truck pretty quick. I’m not a huge Chevy fan, but they made some very sharp trucks. The late 80’s into the 2000’s designs were not any of them.

I think the F-150 of that era looked better, but given the choice I’d take the GM truck.

I had a 1993 GMC 1500 and really miss it.

I had one, a 1995. I thought it was a great truck until I got my 2009 Dodge Ram.

But what dimension is "Wide" in reference to?

Was there also a "Narrow" model available to choose from?

That’s some "Double Wide" terminology right there...

Ah, I was wondering what a "short wide bed" was.

Short Wide Bed = 6.5 feet
Long Wide Bed = 8 feet

Step side beds were the narrow beds.

They were fucking horrible trucks.

I had a 2 door Tahoe version. It was a 96, and by 2006 it was a rusted trap with brake lines rusting through, severe frame rust, panels eaten up, etc.

Art deco styles trucks are best trucks.

Followed by
1954 Mercedes Renntransporter.

For those who don't know, Mercedes needed a way to get the cars back to the factory overnight for repairs while racing in Europe. So they made a 100+ mph capable car hauler using the engine from their race cars.

I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum and find that body style to be the most boring (not the worst looking) truck design GM has ever made.
