I would like to know who the real person the Les Grossman character is based on.
There is no way they would actually name him since I am sure he is wealthy, powerful, and is just as big of an asshole. They would get the whole ‘scorched earth’ speech from the guys lawyer. |

RDJ, McConaughey and Cruise stole the show in that flick.
But it was great overall. Forget being made today, I'm surprised it hasn't been erased from existence. I really should get a DVD copy. |

Very funny film with an outstanding cast. Less Grossman should get his own movie.

Speedman is a dying star. A white dwarf headed for a black hole. That's physics. It's inevitable.

"Tell him what time it is, McClusky!"
I remember watching it in theaters when the trailers at the beginning opened up and people thought it was legit advertisements. I was in stitches. |

Bill Hader (Les Grossman's flunkie) was also outstanding.
His little quips really enhanced the Les Grossman scenes. |

The character of Lex Grossman was supposed to get his own feature film. Not sure what happened to that. Would have been great!

View Quote Certain legal proceedings revealed that a movie about a big, hairy, foulmouthed Hollywood producer using the resources of The Mossad to fuck with actors was not quite as funny as it appeared at first glance. |

You have no real family, you're on the wrong side of 40, you're childless and alone. Somebody close to you said: "One more flop, and it's over."

Rick Peck : A hooker. Alright, you killed a hooker. Calm down. Here's what you're gonna do: Get your hands on some bleach, some hydrogen peroxide, and a shit load of lime. |
