I usually drive my wife crazy and watch season one once a year or so. Pinnacle of television for me, never enjoyed another show more.

I made it about five episodes into season 2 and lost interest. I was waiting for a tie-in between season 3 and season 1 but it didn't quite go there.

Season 1 is the best thing to ever be on the television.
Season 2 isn’t near as good, but not as bad as most make it out to be. It’s not bad but it’s not great. Season 1 is that good that it makes season 2 look that bad. Season 3 could have been great, but the wrap up/twist was so lackluster is erased the great acting and writing. I’d rank it above season 2 though. |

Season 1 was filmed in part just outside of New Orleans in an area called Old Jefferson wich is part of Jefferson Parish within 4 blocks of the Mississippi River and then some more footage in Metairie and even a fly over of Causeway and Airline hwy.
I was on one of the sets and all I can say is Lillli Simmons is a smoke show! |
