In general it's the mouth, eyes, and skin texture that are difficult points. There are a few scenes where you can tell it's CG, but there are also a few scenes where it looks straight up real. |

Impressive but there was still a lot of clipping where flexible things were interacting. Hair and clothing, in particular, were clipping through each other pretty bad.

I wonder what kind of framerates I'll be able to pull on my 6 year old Asus desktop.
There's a reason I haven't bought any new video games in years. When I bought Homefront and it wouldn't run on my machine, I just kinda gave up. I got tired of the biggest game being trying to keep up with the tech. |

Amazingly good, especially the Andy Serkis performance of Shakespeare.
Still, all the effort went into the faces. The hands were perfunctory. Overall, clearly animation. Awesome! |

In the next 2-5 years live rendering of ray tracing (simulating rays of light) is going to take over games, bringing up their graphics on par with top tier movie effects, within 10 years pretty much all PC’s and games will be rendering graphics virtually indistinguishable from the real thing. For a while the only improvements will be screen resolution and rendering distance, with VR being the last to max out the mark 1 eyeball.
As was mentioned before This will lead to some problems it’s going to be very easy to fake video and audio, now you can have have that October surprise trump hillary sex tape. And only the software can tell if it’s real.
