Even middle of the road news is really painting this as a big defeat.
Look, I know we're still getting some shitty laws passed, but ANY victory in this Dem controlled cesspool deserves 24 hours of celebration. Then back to work. I'm hearing "brutal defeat" and "furious rebuke" and the like |

I am so happy to see they rejected this bullshit in the VA Senate. You guys won this battle with sheer determination. Had you not flocked to Richmond is huge numbers, had you not flocked to city and county government meetings demanding 2A sanctuaries and had you not started creating local militia, this shit would have been rammed through. I am so proud of you guys. Virginians got off their asses and said NO to an assault weapons/mag ban. That is all that stopped this. Let this be a lesson to people in other states.

Levine was like "they could dispose of them" ...to which Obenshain replied with a surprised look "like throw them in the trash?"

Hell, we're trying to muster a pale imitation in Texas on 2/26 when our congress gathers to discuss past efforts & future plans for gun policy. The VA effort has been immeasurably useful for even considering how to do a proper gathering, and calibrate expectations. |
