I have been misled by a bored or jittery shut in single female attorney that reposted second
hand info from a news source I can't find (ch 22 news) Cannot find her original post that had a picture of the governor with quotes and story but the present post reflects the above, now saying, "you may have been hoaxed at Ch 22 news My apologies for trying to keep us on the edge of local reporting A sort of funny thing though, my kids suggested WV shut it down back when we were still the outbreak champs with zero cases |

Quoted: Here in Pocahontas County we're so remote that we're unaffected by the flu pandemic. It's business as usual aside from the schools being closed. Seeing the usual amount of DC. and VA. tagged vehicles when I venture out. Nothing abnormal to report. View Quote The bad thing about Pocahontas Co. is that there are a lot of people that live here but are working in Northern VA right now, among other places in VA and NC. |

Save yourselves!
Close the border with MD and Northern Virginia now! |

Quoted: Shit, 25% of WV will be in Winchester, Virginia in the morning. I swear they must sell handicapped placards where you people get lottery tickets and cheap smokes. Every handicapped space at Valley Medical has a fucking WV tagged vehicle parked in it. The rest are stealing everything they can at the Walmart across the way off Rt. 50. View Quote Oh one of the boomers that circle the parking lot looking for "his" spot that some sob parked in. |

That and the the Wendy's I called the health dept. to report a sheet show on my way though. Where are these "toll booths" in WV you speak of? Actually there is one south of Beckley. Ghent. |

Quoted: WV has this stupid "Certificate of Need" law, which in a nutshell means that a health care provider needs permission from the state before it can open a new clinic or add capabilities to an existing clinic. This process can take many months. In theory this is to prevent new providers from opening in a saturated market. In practice it means that health care in WV is rationed and expensive. VA and OH do not have these laws so people near the border go out of state for health care. Even with insurance, the price difference is reflected in the copays and deductibles. View Quote VA is a certificate of need state |

We would normally have gone home to visit mom over this last weekend. We decided not to go, for now. Mom was okay with that.
We might not go home till the end of April. We usually go home once a month. |

You can come together without dying together. |

No, before Dad passed I noticed it when I was trying to find a handicapped spot for him because he could hardly walk and he had finally got a placard.....For all the good it did....WVians in every spot. While my dad is long passed (9 years) I've made a point to look and have noticed the same thing going on, every handicapped spot has a rusted-out WV tagged shit-box parked in it. |

I'll be there in the morning. It's my choice of Walmarts in that area. I live .5 miles from WV/VA border and for most of my shopping and dining in VA. Fuel taxes are much cheaper in VA for starters. Then I need to drive from eastern to northern panhandle, crossing into VA, MD, and PA to get there. I'll make sure I have my "papers" showing I own property up there. |

I'm in a border area with VA. Just the VA day trippers here trout fishing. Maybe a few more than normal since people aren't working, IDK.
My neighbor has a large weekly rental property and everyone has canceled. It's empty. So they're not staying. As for Winchester. That's where people here pretty much have to go for healthcare. It's the closest trauma center. Get in an accident and you get a helo ride there. Same for cancer treatment, ect. There's only one tiny hospital here in a three county area. Same for shopping. The closest HD and Lowes is a 120 mile round trip to Harrisonburg, VA. |

I drove across the border into WV this morning to work.
I'm alot further south though than those yank's |

I went to Summersville this weekend and the vehicles on 19 were predominantly out of state. Saw some NY plates in town.
