SpaceX has made eight manned launches to the ISS for NASA including the initial test flight, two additional chartered flights for Axiom on top of that number and one manned free flyer apart from the ISS for Inspiration 4. |

I was sitting at my desk working on a McAir shaft coupled ASTOVL supersonic airplane when the patent was passed around. We switched to an absolutely waste of time by attempting to duct bleed air gas forward to a lift fan. This idea had zero chances to work from the first sketch. Every contractor had access to a Yak. I knew one pilot that had flown one. Lift engines in the Yak's weren't remotely new or innovative. A lift engine is the reason MDC was kicked out of the ASTOVL competition. That blame belongs to a manager that dictated the change. I was present when the Marine general bounced the conference table off the floor and told him MDC would lose if the airplane had a lift engine. To answer the original question, one technology we made off with was welding of dissimilar metals. The French and the Japanese got compressible wind tunnels, the welding, and probably a couple of other technologies. Another was probably waffle guidance fins for bombs. They're dang effective at supersonic speeds.  |

They absolutely can wreck most of Europe. Maybe with nukes, but certainly not with conventional weapons. They're struggling to take out a much smaller country they share a land border with. And the nukes assume they've actually been taking care of them. The biggest realistic threat they pose with nukes is selling them to someone with a more competent military like North Korea or Iran. |
