The judge would justify the sentence saying since Trump payments to Stormy Daniels and hiding this transaction from the public through record keeping fraud, he defrauded the voters of New York Staten which justifies such a large sentence. Yes, this is how democrats in NYS would put it.

Remember, the case was upgraded to a felony because they say he defrauded voters, which is ridiculous because NY would not have voted differently and there is no way Trump would have done this to change who NY was voting for.

Yes this could happen, he could get a sentence this high and the Democrats can do it and would do it based on how much they have been trying to take him down. This is what happens in third world countries, they jail their political opponents.

What do you think would happen if New York State decides to send Trump to prison for his entire term?

This is very serious stuff, and very possible that it could happen as NY could do this. This would be crazy if something like this happened and it scares the crap out of me.

He has Presidential immunity, he would have to serve his sentence after his term is finish, iirc.

I'm not sure what would happen, this is just like anyone else getting arrested. There would be an arrest  warrant and I guess the marshals would find him and take him in?

The Federal government is full of democrats and would allow it.

I’d wager President Trump walks right on out the courthouse regardless of any sentence, whether the judge likes it or not.

Just stop this they can't

They can't interfere in the constitutional transfer of power.

Stop bro. It’s getting old.

The Department of Justice has issued two detailed memorandum opinions, one in 1973 and another in 2000, discussing a sitting president’s scope of immunity from criminal and civil actions.  In both opinions, the Department determined that a sitting president cannot be indicted, prosecuted or jailed for a criminal claim while in office.

Trump vs US already has stated he has presumptive immunity.

It’s over. Drop it.

I did.  Or, you’re too dented to look it up yourself.

You can see the above link. Here’s Trump v US:

https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/23pdf/23-939_e2pg.pdf

Which cites: https://scholar.google.com/scholar_case?case=2587191009008442950&q=nixon+v+fitzgerald&hl=en&as_sdt=6,24

That you would find, in the above link from the DOJ.

Fitzgerald, linked, shows us that former presidents are immune.  Trump v US tells us that he has presumptive immunity.

There is zero legal standing here. The DOJ is dropping the cases. And civil cases have to change course now.

They cannot interfere with his official duties.  Which, being President elect, is a smooth transition of power.

Stop being emotional and just posting like an idiot.  There has been plenty published about this.  Stop being a dent head.

How is it that a 2003 account can post such inane drivel? The OP's writings are barely coherent and the content is somehow even worse than the structure. Please tell me you're drunk OP. At least that would be a valid excuse around these parts.

Are you inferring the State of New York might try to detain the President Elect and therefore be interfering with the lawful and peaceful transfer of power?

I’ll take things that won’t happen for $1,000 Alex…

But Letitia would look good in Federal Prison if they try it.
