We've all heard of the bucket list: Things to do before you die. How about the things you ain't doin' even at gunpoint?
My NOPE list: 1. Skydiving 2. Diving in the ocean 3. Skiing 4. Riding in a helicopter or private plane (I used to work in the aircraft parts business).  5. Eating blowfish 6. "Sounding" (Google it).  7. Riding a bull or other, ahem, large, potentially dangerous animal 8. Running with the bulls in Spain 9. Getting anywhere near an adult chimpanzee unless it's caged and I'm outside the cage 10. Getting a wax job. (I'm a hairy guy and would probably die from it).   Attached File |

I don’t mind heights except I just don't trust roofs. They scare the *bleep* out of me.
For some reason I fear the eave breaking off or the shingles let go and I slide off and fall. Seeing roofers working up there, walking on the edges gives me a pucker factor of at least 12. |

Also the Windseeker amusement park ride. Freeclimbing. Basically anything that involves me getting wedged into a tight space or exposed at altitude is a hard no from me, dog. |

A friend of mine used to work on a roofing crew that mainly did TALL commercial stuff. He said when they were building these giant buildings, there would be a long wait at the end of the day for the elevator, so they would hang drop from floor to floor to get down faster. This was on the outsides of the buildings. FUCK THAT! |

Riding in a helicopter Helicopters are not scary, for some reason. Ospreys as well. Slow heights are much scarier than fast heights. 6. "Sounding" (Google it). I get a cystoscopy every 2 years to make sure that bladder cancer hasn't come back. 10. Getting a wax job. (I'm a hairy guy and would probably die from it). I did a patch before tattooing once. Sharks. Aside from harm coming to those i love, sharkophobia is my only phobia. Ironically, i have loved the sea since first seeing it as a kid.
That being said....damn a shark. I'd rather traipse around grizzly country in a pork sausage suit than chance being chewed up by sharks. |
