Sometimes the answer is that the author of the source material kept putting off the next chapter (writer's block, or more interested in another project), until they died. Other times it's just that the source material (manga or novel) is still being published, but not enough has been released to make another season of an anime, and by the time another season's worth of source material is available, everybody involved in the anime has moved on to other projects. Then there's the times when the big wigs decided that the source material was popular enough for a single season, but not enough for two seasons, and that's that, as far as they're concerned. Or perhaps the big wigs hired a consultant from HK (the fans suck, and they hate them). |

I lol'd so hard at the part when Maple goes Mecha. In any other show it would be an emotional scene. As she's so op their morale is instantly broken. But instead it's so absurd that you can't help but laugh. |

So. Updates: I still have the last episode of Bofuri to catch up on.
Against my better judgement, I bought FLCL Progressive/Alternative. I am going to watch this now. ... I also bought an FLCL cat charm. Fuck me please for not checking the dimensions. I was originally going to put it on my 7.5 Kitty Kat. That's not going to happen... it is too big even on my last M4 . My partner just wants it as a stuffed animal now. Also. Don't mind the floor... my partner stole part of her gym today. So That's fun. Also don't mind my sketch-ass China town copy of the original FLCL.

The philosophy stuff is too subtle if there's more to it than "this is really fucked up, what we're doing." But hey, I'm one of those cretins who thinks the ending of Eva was a hackneyed cop-out that was completely unsatisfying and an insult to the audience, so what do I know. |
