After looking at the other thread, it made me start to wonder. So, anyone else here a WoW fan? |

The Southpark episode made me want to check it out ... seriously! Ive been seeing it on shelves for a while now and I finally decided to get it well the trial version anyway. Very cool looking game and Warcraft and Starcraft were where like 80% of my spare time went back in the day. . Not sure if Ill subscribe because I find it kind of tedious. |
For those that haven't tried it, you're probably better off if you don't. It will suck you in...  I only have one character at the moment: 60 Warrior on Khaz Modan. I may start another, but haven't decided yet. Actually, it's better if you play with friends. A lot of the objectives of the game require more than one to accomplish. It's always better to do them with your friends. Plus if you are using a voice server, it makes it go much quicker. |

Whoever this player is has played Warcraft so much, that he has reached a level we thought unreachable. He's actually able to kill our admins! And he grows stronger every day! He has played World of Warcraft nearly every hour of every day for the past year and a half! Your kid's characters are already dead. There's notheing we can do. Gentlemen, we are dealing with someone here who has absolutely no life. |

I tried to flush him out of his cellar one sunny summer afternoon to go shoot skeet, forget it, it was like trying to take the ring away from Gollum. |
Had a 60 Rogue on perenold with a number of MC goodies a while back. Never again will I pick up that life sucking game again. It was a fun ride though.

I used to play. The game lost my interest rather quickly. Not a fan of instanced zones or the ease at gaining levels... or the aching boredom after gaining level 60. So, I've been looking forward to Vanguard: Saga of Heroes. It's due out 1Q 2007. Made by the same developers that made the original Everquest game. Vanguard: Saga of Heroes Check it out. |

| I'm Beta testing a MMORPG with some guildies of mine from EQ2, they are also in Vanguard Beta... and while they like the concept and many of the mechanics, they tell me the game is nowhere near ready to go live. Huge server issues, many classes are not flushed out or even in the game yet? Their estimation is at least a year if it is going to be rolled out right. |

I'm on Whisperwind, 60 hunter, and play with 4-5 of my friends. I did my first UBRS run last night and got punted by the beast! (I'm a dwarf so its almost as funny as if a gnome did it). |

They have the release date schedules for the 1st quarter of '07... I hope roughly half a year is enough time! I will be on the PvP server. Hopefully it has the same ruleset as Rallos Zek in EQ1. |

60 paladin 60 priest named Madeuce (since Ma Deuce doesn't work) 60 mage named Bumpfire 49 warrior named Fullauto 34 warlock named Thermopylae Our guild isn't big enough to do the 40-man stuff, but we have ZG on farm status. We cleared it Sunday evening, nine bosses in four hours, no wipes and only a few deaths. Our first Hakkar kill

I never went beyond the first Diablo because I don't want to know how many hours I wasted playing that game, and that was before I had children... I can't afford another addiction.  I have a B-I-L who is a WoW addict. Not afficianado, enthusiast, or fan... addict is the only word for it.

I got the 10 day guest pass. I won't be subscribing anytime soon because my computer can't handle all the different people running around. I played a Tauren warrior to about level 5 then a Human warlock to level 6 or 7. Once I reached Goldshire my system lag made it nearly unplayable. One thing I did notice is that teaming seems necessary. I was able to take on 1 guy at a time usually, but if two came after me I either ran away or died. Goldtooth and one of his worker buddies smacked me down in the mine. The constant enemy respawn also makes teaming essential. Oddly, most people didn't want to team. I even saved one dudes bacon by casting corruption on a worker when said dude was completely out of mana. I had an Imp summon that was amusing. Once I hit Goldshire I saw someone with what looked like a Diablo 1/2 harpie, except in 3d. I expected it to be similar to Diablo 2, maybe it is at higher levels. Are there AoE spells so you can smack down multiple critters at once? It appears to have a lot of depth, with all the different races and classes. Then add blacksmithing, mining, and who knows what else on top of all that. Overall, seems pretty cool, but my system can't hack it. Probably due to my 256 MB of RAM. |
I never could tank good on a warrior. We had a Rogue tank Onyxia I wanted to load up on FR go Shadowform and tank her buy they wouldnt let me |

i did really well, though, we had a couple rogues who couldnt throttle their dammage when it was nessasary(it was rare, but at times those super crits would steal aggro) i found that being the MT was just like being a priest, you really need to pay attention to other people instead of yourself. |
I can top 4000 health on a big heal 2.5secs. Also if you know someone who can cook you can get better food that helps you. |

You definitely have to have your system higher if you want to play the game. I don't have the best system but it is managable for the game. I only start to notice real lag issues when in large groups. The 40 man stuff definitely puts a drain on things. My warrior was set for pvp untill I got bored with it. I've decided to start running dungeons with him and have begun with AQ20, ZG, and MC. The only problem I've found with the warrior is that it is so gear intensive. With the shield on I'm at almost 8K in armor and almost 7K in hp and it still seems short sometimes. There are always pots but that gets expensive. I've been working an alt in alchemy, but that takes time. The biggest pain I've had so far is building FR gear. I have some plans for Dark Iron Gear but getting that stuff put together is a huge pia. Overall still a great game.  |
