budy made a batch of homemade stuff about a decade ago.
It was so utterly foul my stomach instantly turned. Not only was it the nastiest assed alcohol I've ever tasted but it was the nastiest shit to ever hit my pallette in all my living years. No idea what he fucked up or how he fucked it up, but it was fucked up. He did however redeem himself at a later date. |

I've got to say, I'm surprised nobody here has tried that Asian cobra wine. Used to see it listed on ebay all the time...small bottle of wine with a cobra in it.

Quoted: 'shine. ![]() View Quote You're pretty much never going to buy good moonshine. The only way you're going to get anything really good is if some old guy pours you some out of his stash. It's just economics. The truly great stuff comes from the hearts of small batch corn, high rye, distilled twice. Basically the best 20% of the 2nd run that they'll keep. The rest is basically trash that is mixed back in an sold. Even commercial bourbon could be much better, but out of reach price wise. |

Back in college before I was of drinking age, I decided to go to the one liquor store I knew of that didn't check ids. I saw a bottle of pineapple wine and bought it. I've had better tasting cough medicine.

Quoted: Your coworker must have really hated you ![]() View Quote He was a real Icelander. Said he was a Wiking! ![]() Back then (in the 70's) he used to sort of host people from Iceland that came to the Cleveland Clinic for heart surgery. (it was a thing then). And they would smuggle all of that crap that he loved so much into him. It was easier to do back then. It was interesting to be exposed to his culture. |

Goldschlager... turpentine in a bottle. Horrible, horrible stuff.

View Quote I’ve drank it in Japan, Thailand, and Korea. It’s usually pretty high priced and therefore tasty. The scales floating in it are a little off putting though. |

View Quote Kessler's Whiskey is the worst I ever had. I couldn't finish the bottle and that was mixing it. |

Tijuana Everclear (many years ago)
Better suited for cleaning carburetors than for human ingestion |

Jager + Arrogant Bastard collaboration. I saved the bottle so I could shoot it.

Interesting-figured if anyone had tried it, it would be terrible. But for something more available to be worse, now I'm morbidly curious. |

Pulque
It’s an ancient beer made from agave. So it is to tequila what beer is to whiskey in a way. I really wanted to like it - I enjoy all sorts of beers as well as mezcal and tequila. It’s making a big time resurgence with the hip crowd in Mexico. The problem? Well first it has approximately the same consistency as jizz - sort of gelatinous and thick and mind you this is like beer so you get a whole pint glass. Second the flavor is just sort of the taste of yeast. I was super disappointed. Edit - the color - you guessed it - sort of a translucent white... |

Something called Caña that some chicks in a bar in Ciudad Acuna challenged me and a buddy into doing shots of in 1991. There impressions of my fingers in the tabletop as I tried to suppress the urge to vomit. Just a little Spanish lingo that means alcohol from sugar cane i believe. Probably the sugar cane version of Everclear?

Ron Diaz rum. The only drink I've over told a bartender to dump out.

To be fair, we were using the shell as an ashtray earlier that evening... View Quote Another truly grody hangover. |

One of my roommates in law school tried making strawberry wine. It was memorable.

Captain Morgan rum. It's probably fine, but I had a bad night. My own fault, but the smell of it makes me gag. Jose Cuervo too.
