Dear god no.
Where I live we are already have 70 to 85mph on the most of the freeways and that is honestly still too slow by at lest 10mph as most people in the left lane are going at least 10 over already so 80 to 95mph is the norm for folks who are capable drivers and don't have a 20 year old car with bald tires. For the folks who say 55 is already too fast I am not sure how you would successfully navigate on the freeways here with 75 to 85mph speed limits with traffic moving at 80 to 95mph as you would be routinely getting passed by cars going 25 to 40 miles an hour faster than you. |

No. I'd support an INCREASE in the national speed limit to 80mph, but with the caveat that minimums and maximums would be enforced far more vigorously.

no. I like to go on road trips across and to other states. 65 and 70 or 75 in those states that have them that high shaves hours off my travel time
55*8=440 65*8=520 at 55 it'd take 9 and a half hours instead of 8 to go the same distance at 10 hours of driving you're pushing 12 if you drop to 55 vs 65 |

I must confess. I drive the speed limit in school zones when the school zone lights are flashing. The rest of the time whatever seems reasonable. Heading out west for a two-week motorcycle trip on the 17th. Crossing the plains there will be a whole lot of maximum reasonableness on deserted two-lane roads like this.
